Terrible controller. Smoked when used USB output.. Don't buy possibly fire risk

This is a terrible product! The voltage metre rating is very inaccurate. I tested my battery with a multimeter, and it measured 12.6. With this solar controller, it measured 13 volts, which is way above what's claimed by the multimeter. I used various other leads and cables and even shortened my battery lead, as that's what it says in the manual: keep it as short as possible. So I did all this, and it still gave inaccurate readings. I then purchased two more of these solar controllers, the exact same model, from a different retailer. Every single one of these solar controllers gave different voltage readings. Therefore, these solar controllers, in my opinion, should not be trusted to do the job properly without overcharging and discharging your battery. Which is the main purpose of this product! If I could give it no stars, I would. Dreadful product.
