3MVirtua Safety Glasses with Clear Frame and Clear Polycarbonate Anti-Scratch Hard Coat Lens

These safety glasses are great! I have bought two pairs so far (the first one almost a year ago) and they are holding up very well. The reason I purchased these was to use them when playing beach volleyball to prevent sand from getting into my eyes, but I have also started using them on my bicycle rides (to keep bugs and dust out of my eyes). So far, the glasses have been ideal for the purpose. They do fit snugly and have not come off unintentionally during any of the many volleyball games I've played with them on. The glasses have not fogged up on me, either, which is a problem I typically experience with sunglasses.I would say there is a tiny bit of optical distortion, but it's definitely not noticeable or bothersome to a point where it's given me a headache. As a point of reference, I usually wear them for about 2-3 hours at a time. And I have not had any issues with comfort - they feel just fine and I almost forget they are on.In terms of construction, these are solidly built, but will receive scratches if you abuse them. However, as cheap as they are, you can easily replace them as needed. The pairs that I have have received only minor scratches and I do not foresee having to replace them in the near future.Overall, an inexpensive and reliable item.

Simple, Universal, Stylish (as far as protective eyewear goes) and an excellent value. I originally fell in love with these glasses when they became an option for Quality Assurance Laboratory staff while working for Anheuser-Busch back in 2004; and I continue to keep 2-3 pairs on hand now that I've returned to school to further my science education. The glasses are very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time and do not fog over like goggles do. I'm currently enrolled in both an Anatomy & Physiology Lab and a Microbiology Lab and can wear the glasses for 4+ hours a day, without issue. I will admit the lenses are easily scuffed and/or scratched, so as with any plastic safety glasses, it's important to take care of them and use a protective case when storing. That being said, the glasses are economical enough that having to replace them won't keep you up at night.

This review is for the hard-coat version. I use these for general shop tasks. The hard coat is the best feature because most plastic safety glasses scratch quickly. Now we're not talking anti-scratch, just "better than normal" scratch resistance. For example, with normal glasses, if I wipe them off with my shirt, I'll see swirl marks from the dust on my shirt. With these, I don't. Also when I removed these from the shipping bag, they were 100% scratch free. The non hard-coat ones have small scratches just from rubbing on the inside of the bag.Anyway they last a long time before I have to replace them, they are comfortable, and light.

They are exactly what other reviewers stated. Good enough product for the price. I needed them for a science lab. Clear, easy to see through, lightweight. My only complaint is if you have a small nose bridge, they will fall and not fit right. For this reason I couldnt use them. But I guess if youre ordering online you take a gamble on the fit.

I was looking for an inexpensive safety glass to use during an aquatics swim class to protect my eyes from splashing and potential bumps. These have worked out very nicely. They wrap around just right around my face and keep water out of my eyes and I am able to see well (no fogging and the plastic seems very clear). The side pieces are fairly flexible and not too tight so they don't bother me or give me a headache. The glasses are perfectly clear... I might want to buy another pair that has a tint to keep the glare down. I find I've been able to keep my eyes open now in the class. This is probably a unique use for these glasses but they worked well. I didn't want to buy regular swim goggles because my head is above the water and those would be too tight. I only wanted to keep water out of my eyes.

Incredible quality for this low price. I am a huge fan of 3M safety glasses and definitely recommend them to anyone. I've paid MORE for generic/off-brand safety glasses of the exact same style from Harbor Freight, etc. and they always seems to scratch immediately, reducing visibility while wearing. These on the other hand hold up very well, even when wiping dust off the lenses.Pros:- Very low price- Comfortable to wear all day- Scratch resistant- ANSI Z87+ rated- Wide coverage and viewingCons:- Some visual distortion; can be weird to wear for extended periods

I use these as my cycling glasses. They work really well for keeping wind, cold air, dust and bugs out of my eyes.The fact that they have no frame allows for really nice, undisturbed field of view. They are very light and I usually forget I am wearing them. They are affordable enough that I don't have to worry about dropping them, scratching them, or sitting on them. I never had them fog up while I was moving, but body heat will make them fog up in cold weather when there's no air flowing around them.

Light weight, inexpensive but not cheap quality. I have a huge head and these fit comfortably. Great over all.
