This soap making kit is perfect for beginners. I didn’t want to mess with lye with cold process soap so I went for a melt and pour kit. This kit contains everything you need to get started! The scents are strong so a little but goes a long way. The actual soap base comes in 4 blocks: 2 shea butter and 2 glycerin. My friend and I were able to use the 2 shea butter soap base blocks for the 4 rectangular molds it came in, and the other 2 glycerin blocks in another silicone mold I had laying around the house. After using all the soap base, we still had scented oil and coloring left over, so you can buy more soap base and make more. Since we used all of the base in the kit, we both plan on giving away some of the bars as gifts and I feel like that would be a perfect gift for things like Mother’s Day! Pros: -easy to use -fun activity -comes with enough soap base where you aren’t overwhelmed with too many bars of soap - shea butter base bubbles/suds well Cons: -rose scent (1 out of the 4) was too strong in my opinion -loofah is a little rough so I can only use the loofah side of the soap on things like my feet or knees where the skin is not as sensitive -kit does not guide you on how much soap base to use to make X amount of soap bars, so we had to do it in parts and guess how it will work -the soap bar itself seems to be used up a little fast; not long lasting in the shower

I absolutely loved using the Llumive Soap Making Kit! It was fun, easy to use, and a great introduction to soap making as a possible new hobby. The instructions were clear, and everything I needed was included — from the glycerin and shea butter soap base to the molds, fragrances, dyes, and even dried flowers for decoration. The process was simple enough for beginners but still really satisfying and creative. I had a great time experimenting with colors and scents, and the finished soaps looked and smelled wonderful. Highly recommend this kit for anyone looking for a relaxing, hands-on craft project!

I bought this as a gift for my mom. She has talked about wanting to try making soap and I figured this would be a great beginner kit. I was right! It was prefect for beginners and made for a great birthday gift! The packaging was beautiful and super organized. For the price the size and supplies you get are great. Im thinking about buying one to use with my daughter as well!

I was looking for a kit for my 6 year old son, but all the ones for kids were very girly themed and I didn't want him thinking that boys couldn't be into soap making, too. This kit was perfect! It had everything he needed and the instructions were simple enough. We did the heating part but let him stir the ingredients. He enjoyed the little gift boxes in the kit so he could gift his creations to family. All we have to do is buy refills of the soap base, and things should last a long time. The price wasn't bad either!

Strong smell easy to use feet instructions and quality of items

It’s a great beginner soap making and you get a lot for the price. It’s so much fun to do and definitely keeps your little ones busy with some adult supervision

This kit was okay. I did like that the mold was generous and that the dye colors were VERY bright. I also liked that you got about 4 pounds of soap base. I will say that the bases felt a bit cheap and even though the shea butter base was good, I have found better ones. Do not EVER put botanicals in your melt and pour soap, they will go bad VERY quickly. I wish they had swapped that out for maybe another small mold, or even some additional soap base. Overall, not a bad value for starting out but there are much better bases that you can get on their own.
