Another fantastic read
High praises to the author David Hodges.Kate and Hayden find themselves in a predicament when her car breaks down in a bad snow storm. Noticing lights in the distance of a hotel, they stumble their way towards it only to be met with hostility from a woman who is in charge. Eventually, Kate persuades the woman to help them.Being shown to the only vacant room, Kate and Hayden spruce themselves up and go downstairs to meet the rest of the guests. Not letting on they were police offices, Hayden and Kate begin to learn a lot about the guests that they didn't like. One by one the guests begin to disappear. What is going on? Things become apparent when bodies begin to show up.Great story with loads of twists. Who the murderer was soon became clear towards the end.5 * from this happy reader.

Worth reading
A good read even though the plot obviously followed those in previous books using a group of people trapped in a hotel by bad weather and the ending was easily predicted.

Excellent series
This is one of the best books in this series. Exciting and gripping story. Can’t wait to read the next one.

Not as riveting as before
I've read all Kate and Hayden books and found thus one rather turgid. This saddens me, as the rest have been very good. The premise for the story is solid but I found it lacked the usual pace. Sorry to be negative, but this is a personal view.

A new author for me and new police characters who are entirely believable and easy to relate to
DI Kates Hamblyn and her husband investigate a series of murers in a deserted hotel. A good detective story with two unusual and new officers. Paqcy as the body couns adds up, but entirely believable with a lovely twist of two throsn in. Thank Goodnes for cops who arent drunks or druuggies or have deep issues.

Another addictive crime thriller from David Hodges
Brilliant page turner with twists and turns through out the chapters which kept me hooked right from the start. Great storylines and characters who have been created with skill and style. Kate and Hadyn make wonderful main characters and I'm looking forward to reading the next book.

Beware where you stay!
Another gripping story of Kate and Hayden. What should have been a pleasant few days away turn into a search for a serial killer! Plenty of twists and turns and a deeper look into the relationship of our two heroes. (Poor Hayden really needs to learn to look after himself.) A story of revenge and bitterness, leading to numerous bodies. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Got to wait for the next one now!

Wow!!
I really enjoyed this book. It was nice to see Kate and Haydn work a case without all the higher ups holding them back. It was a strange case but it had a satisfying ending. I highly recommend this book. Beth P.

Good addition to the series
Kate and Hayden are stranded in a blizzard and make their way to a guesthouse where a reunion of former university housemates is taking place. Unexpectedly, they find themselves in a reenactment of Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None. Action and excitement abounds in this well-paced story as Kate and Hayden search for the killer and try to stop the deaths. A good read.

The best so far
I enjoyed every bit of this book from the very beginning to the last sentence. They were trapped but worked together to solve the mystery. I read it in one sitting and am tempted to read it again. Great job.

Unpleasant main characters and obvious plot
The married main characters are really unpleasant, both to each other and to everyone else. They were so snappish to each other that I could not find any reason to like them or understand why they were together. Worst yet, I knew who the killer was and why they killed in the first few chapters. Very obvious, even with red herrings.
