I am an Emergency Physician and need my trauma shears as much as I need any tool in my ED. I've had the legit Leatherman's for years and they are hands down the best. They take a beating, stay sharp, and Leatherman has fulfilled its lifetime warranty easily when I needed it.These are knockoffs. And that's ok. They aren't going to be as sharp or robust as the real thing but unless you need them to take the daily abuse of a trauma center or are a EMT/Paramedic using them daily these are plenty good.I bought two pairs and have one in my car and one in my wife's care for emergencys. In that situation they are perfectly fine to use 'just in case'.

This is a solid pair of folding scissors. Do they cut tape and gauze? Yes. Are they as well made as a Leatherman? No. But if you want a pair of folding scissors for your backpack or even to use on the job, they work. And seriously, how many times have you used a pair of scissors to open the valve on an oxygen tank? The new ones we have at the hospital don't even have the old style valves, so an oxygen key is useless anyway.

I like that they fold up, I love all of its little features. Unfortunately, it is somewhat difficult to actually use them, I did try adding a little WD-40 so it cuts easier, and it works a little bit better. It’ll get the job done though.

They're great at cutting but are not the best ones out there in terms of durability. If you use trauma shears often i recommend you look elsewhere. But they work great for light use.For reference i work in a residential facility and need to cut strings belts or cords on about a monthly basis.

I just use them for utility scissors but like to imagine I am a heroic EMT cutting seatbelts to rescue trapped crash victims. The metal is of good quality and the blades retain their sharpness.

I have the Leatherman shears for my trauma kit. I was putting together a first aid kit for my son to take to college and didn't want to spend $99 knowing they will likely be loaned out or lost. I am pleasantly surprised with the weight and quality of these shears. They didn't come with a holster like the Leatherman, but the clip will suffice. I will likely order more of these.

I use these everyday as an ER Tech!! They are sturdy and last a long time!!
