True Blue..Madonna I love you!!!!
This is one of those mushy albums tht i guess any romantic would love to own. To begin with, I love all Madonna albums and True Blue stands 4th in my album fav list. I feel 5 stars is just not enough for this timeless classic, this album goes way beyond words.More than the album the album cover caught my eye.Madge looks so beautiful..fresh as a flower..The cover shows a simple blue background which is the main theme of this album..yet wht makes the cover classy is the seductive upturned heaven pose by Madonna. Now some reviews abt the tracks1. PAPA DON'T PREACH- The opening track..sometimes i think this shud have been replaced by True Blue.Too controversial for its time as the track is based on teen pregnancy which tells us a tale of a young girl's will of keeping the baby despite all odds.A track with a powerful message."Papa don't preach, I'm in trouble deepPapa don't preach, I've been losing sleepBut I made up my mind, I'm keeping my baby, ohI'm gonna keep my baby"Overall i rate this 4.2. OPEN YOUR HEART- This song's catchy and those of u who have watched the video will prefer it more than the track..not one of my favsOverall the rating is 3.3. WHITE HEAT- One of my fav tracks..dedicated to Jimmy cagney this song contains dialogue extract from the 1954 movie 'White Heat'.Playful, seductive yet catchy tune..this song tends to hit ur system and sounds fresh even today."I don't want to live out your fantasyLove's not that easyThis time you're gonna, gonna have to play my wayCome on make my day"A must hear.Overall i rate this song 5.4. LIVE TO TELL- After all the heat and hype comes a mellow track to calm down ur senses.Sometimes in the dead of the night i find myself humming this track..just like a prayer i feel connected to this song..a confession u knw!! One of the best Madonna ballads.."A man can tell a thousand liesI've learned my lesson wellHope I live to tellThe secret I have learned, 'till thenIt will burn inside of me"Overall rating-4.55. WHERE'S THE PARTY- A complete party song where Madge talks about having some fun amidst the work and chaos."Where's the party, I want to free my soulWhere's the party, I want to lose control"Overall rating-36. TRUE BLUE- This track has a special place in my heart..i have even sung a cover version of this..this track's a must hear for all the ppl in love."True loveYou're the one I'm dreaming ofYour heart fits me like a gloveAnd I'm gonna be true blue baby I love you"Overall i rate this 57. LA ISLA BONITA- One of my all time fav Madonna song...thsi track is best listened at night..i keep listening to this over and over and over.."I want to be where the sun warms the skyWhen it's time for siesta you can watch them go byBeautiful faces, no cares in this worldWhere a girl loves a boy, and a boy loves a girl"Overall i rate this 5.8. JIMMY JIMMY- Only diehard Madonna fans will like this track..for others u can ignore it..9. LOVE MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND- A song with the message of peace and harmony..stands so true in today's world..need i say more? if u wanna knw just listen to this track."There's hunger everywhereWe've got to take a standReach out for someone's handLove makes the world go round"Madge at her lyrical best..The best tracks are Papa Don't Preach, La Isla Bonita, White Heat, True Blue, Love Makes the World go Round.

My Number One Fave Of Madge's Classic 80's Albums!!
It was 1986 and I was 22 yrs old, partying hearty at the clubs as well asperforming in a very popular funk/rock band that was a very hot draw throughoutthe deep south (Florida, Georgia, Tennessee). I was already well familiar with thepop jaugernaut which was/is MADONNA because of her preceeding smashes with herdebut self-titled album and the now iconic "Like A Virgin", which shot her fromstardom to superstardom!--And had girls all over america trying to imitate hertrashy chic look with underwear on the outside, mucho bangles, big shagged& teased hair, and more crucifixes than are in the vatican! (-:I always wow people with the story of the first time I ever saw Madge perform,in the early days (1982) before she was a megastar, at a gay club called"The College Station" in Jacksonville, FL for a mere & unbelievably small fee!! (-:It was just her and two dancers (one being her now estranged brother Christopher Ciccone!)with 4 club tracks ("Holiday", "Everybody", "Borderline" and "Lucky Star") with justthe background vocals on them and she danced and sang the lead vocals live! She already had the air of a star even back then!--The way she carried herself andperformed passionately for that relatively small crowd of a few hundred very rowdyand screaming fans, even though nobody really knew who she was at that time!Fast forward four very eventful years later and Madge was worldwide sensation!Enter this fantastic album "True Blue" in the summer of 1986, which was packed fullof what would turn out to be pop classics: "Papa Don't Preach", "Open Your Heart","Live To Tell", "Where's The Party" and "La Isla Bonita", all of which are stillwell loved by her fans and performed in all of her live incarnations since then.Dedicated to the self-confessed love of her life, former hubby, Sean Penn..."True Blue", with it's unforgettable cover photo by the late Herb Rittsand memorable pop hits, paint a perfect picture of what was hot and cutting edge in 1986.I can't tell you how many times me and my freinds danced our butts offto "Where's The Party" and "Open Your Heart" mixed and extended to perfectionby whomever was the hot DJ of the time at whatever club we were feeling!"La Isla Bonita" is just eternal with me!--That song will never play out!"Live To Tell" was the theme song from a very good movie starring Sean Pennand Christopher Walken called "At Close Range", which did really well back then. All of these factors combine to make "True Blue" my number one favorite albumin the classic 80's catalogue of Madonna output which she made her name on!
