Sand Picture - Horizon Canyon

The brown is boring at best. Get something colorful. It also doesn't come with a stand. They say you don't need a stand, but spend $80 and bump the desk and you're out $80.

I had an older version of the Horizon made with MDF. It lost a bunch of water over the years and one time I added it incorrectly causing the glass to crack. I wanted to replace it with a solid wood, so it was between this and the walnut for me (still wanted to keep the Horizon line because it sits well on a desk and is easy to pick up and handle to manipulate the sands if you desire). I loved my old one and I'm so glad I was able to get a new one. The wood on this is great quality, nice and smooth. I expect this to last many years with my new knowledge on how to properly add water (I won't be repeating that mistake, the new instructions this one comes with are easy to understand).

I love this sand picture, it’s beautiful and high quality. I specifically wanted one that had a way of adding/removing air, which is easy with this one. Some water did evaporate over time so I had to remove air more frequently to keep it working properly, I called the seller who was friendly and helpful, he told me how to add more water. It was easy, all I had to do was add a bit of bottled spring (not distilled) water with the same syringe I use for air and it worked like a charm. I’ve had this sand picture for about 7 months now and I’m quite happy with it!

I ordered one, which arrived with two frame corners unglued. I ordered a replacement, which arrived with an entire side edge of the frame loose and separated. The product is beautiful, but be prepared to return it or buy wood glue and assemble it yourself.
