This is an indispensable book for any serious student of Biblical hermeneutics, along with your concordance, lexicons etc. Just remember that Unger's is just a man like any other (and all the other contributors for that matter) and commentary is often merely opinion. Apply your rational thinking, logic and reason when studying scripture (Isa 1:18, Jer 17:9). Keep seeking to prove the will of God (Rom 12:2).

This is a very good dictionary. The only other dictionary that equals or maybe better is my very old Smith's Bible Dictionary. This is a thick heavy tp,e because it uses the best slick paper available. It is beautifully made with very good information. You will not be disappointed that you got it. This should last you 40 or 50 years.

Thought I would get better use out of it considering the price

Great reference book! We have other Bible dictionaries but this one is better, I first learned about it because Vernon McGee used it during his time, he says so in Through the Bible. This is an updated version, and it is very good, it has maps, photographs, tables, and includes some meanings from Hebrew and Greek. If you are serious about Bible Study I would recommend you get this book, also consider getting The Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament from Harris, Archer, Waltke, look for it on Amazon as well.
