Boswellia Horse Feed is Frankincense powder obtained by grounding the resins of Frankincense species known as Boswellia Carteri which grows in the wild in Somalia. It is therefore 100% natural and organic. Boswellic acids are the main active ingredients, making our Boswellia Horse Feed a strong anti-inflammatory and a powerful painkiller. It is gentle on the gastrointestinal track and therefore is suitable for long term use with no adverse side effects. Boswellia Horse Feed is given orally by mixing with horse feed. Being 100% pure, the smell is strong and some horses might not be keen on the taste. This can be overcome by disguising the smell using, for example, fenugreek powder. Suggested daily dosages: 10-20g for horses/ponies weighing up to 400kg, 20-30g for horses weighing 400kg-700kg, and 30-40g for horses weighing over 700kg. No added bulkers, fillers or anti-caking agents.

Horses like it, less vet prescribed medication now for them
Two old horses with Cushings disease - aged 24(rescue x) and 20 (Shetland), both arthritic. plus a slightly stiff 23 year old cob . All coped well with changing to this added to meal time after 2-3 weeks. I added dried mint initially but all eat it without mint now.Two no longer need pain medication although the Shetland does - his arthritis and laminitis were both more severe before starting this, so the Danilon medication was a relatively higher dose to begin with .I will be buying more when this runs out

I've seen a big improvement in flexibility and joint comfort since feeding this to an ex racer with mild arthritis and an ex international showjumper who has much worse arthritis, they are both much more comfortable and they are off Bute completely - highly recommend this stuff.

Beneficial effects, so far. Adding to food every day in attempt to control symptoms associated with Cushings / Laminitis and hoping to eliminate use of bute with its side-effects.
