Reasonable plane for the price but poor packaging.
As others have commented, this is a reasonable copy of the Stanley 78. Branded as Toolzone and supplied by Tooltime UK Ltd. I have other Toolzone items and have always found them to be satifactory.I bought it specifically for trimming a door frame to ease a binding door, but I'm sure it will come in handy again at some point. It feels solid and has a comfortable enough handle. The black paint finish appears to be quite delicate though, with odd flakes coming off. The width fence has some movement having only 1 guide rail, but should be ok with careful handling. The depth guage is quite a rough cast and doesn't sit entirely flat against the body, but should do what it's designed to do. Again, as others have stated, there isn't a cutting spur as listed, just a threaded slotted screw, so I don't see what useful purpose that serves. Mine arrived with an unsharpened blade although a few strokes on the stone put that right. For the price it's a reasonable tool for the occasional job, but I wouldn't use it for trade work.My biggest gripe is the fact that it arrived, albeit fairly quickly, in just it's crudely sellotaped cardboard box, with a postage label attached to the bottom. Having had more than one item go missing recently, I was just relieved that it actually got here and more than a little surprised that it was in one piece. I can understand Tooltime being careful with costs, but I find this appalling, as the flimsy box offers little protection and it's clear what's inside.

Rebate plane
An excellent product delivered promptly. However I was a little surprised that the blade had not been sharpened ( perhaps a requirement of the carriage company?) I am able to sharpen blades myself so it was not a problem but I was surprised.

with not great result, but might be just me
A bit difficult to adjust and handle it, with not great result, but might be just me, not being a professional.

good.
The package was a little damaged in transit due to the plane's weight. Othewise, good.

Nearly there.
The fence section is quite sloppy. The hole bored in it to take the round bar, is too big.

Great buy
This is a great buy very well made ,only thing is parallel guide is a bit loose with only one support arm , as I don't need parallel guide I am very impressed , you need to sharpen blade , blade adjustment is really good and plane feels good to use ,I have used planes 4 times the price and can say this will leave as good a job .

If you know how to use the tool it's easy and the blade did arrive sharpened unlike some comments
Can't see a problem with this tool despite a number of adverse comments. If you know how to use the tool it's easy and the blade did arrive sharpened unlike some comments. Haven't used the guide but can see it may be a little flimsy. At £15 including delivery a good buy.

Not a fillister plane - no cutting spur
Solid copy of the Stanley 78, except that it does not as stated come with a cutting spur, therefore it is not a fillister plane as it claims.
