Six Stars if I could - didn't expect to like it but YES!
The media could not be loaded. Has the best BT holding power of any of the units I tested (3-4 standard room usage units). Left it playing out on the back deck, came through kitchen, hall, past bathroom, into my bedroom. Still going strong, no faltering! Very nice full rich sound for smallish speaker! Engaging colour displays, several modes! Battery testing mode. Solid connection. Arrived fully charged. Voice announced “battery level excellent” when I pressed the function button to change display modes. Only a few buttons and had to look at instructions to find display modes. But very simple to operate, if not quite intuitive. Sprayed it good with the water hose on back steps (see video) while testing with Winamp (BT from laptop) up on the deck about 10-15’ away. Performed very well, dried off quickly, no interruption or later flaws in connect/playback. Four hours later, playing in my room on desk about 3’ away, connected to laptop like water test never happened. Sounds very good. No tinny or harsh notes, no piercing high notes or teeth jarring overkill on bass—the kind of midrange that allows you to relax and enjoy the whole range of the music without worrying about having to adjust or turn up/down at any point. NOTE: I also wondered why it looked “faded” or diminished flash modes outside. I thought maybe it was just the sun. Apparently it was the strength of my laptop battery trying to transmit! I normally keep it plugged to a wall unit and it was on battery only. I thoroughly tested three different speakers outside that day, laptop unplugged. When I got back to my room and hooked up, the lights on the speaker jumped into vibrance! So that was really nice to see. I don’t think it was the comparative darkness of the indoor room! This is also a nice size—not tiny “hard to take seriously”, not too bulky “trying too hard”. It would be groovy on an end table during an evening with intimate friends. It’s pretty and it doesn’t get hot and there is no way to fault the sound at all. I also enjoyed watching the water bounce off the top part of the speaker, unexpected. You can, of course, turn the sound up a lot louder than I have it in this video. I kept the volume subdued but wanted to show the light features and waterproof steadfastness of the unit. I confess, I rather expected it to be kinda cheesy (like Disco Stan). But it’s really super nice and I think I’m keeping this as a fave. Frankly I would give it six stars if I could.

Wow! Better than Expected!
The media could not be loaded. This is a Really Good Speaker! Sound Quality and Build Quality is Very Good. The Fact that it is Water Proof is a Big Plus. The Battery Life is Amazing. I charged this speaker overnight months ago and have used it for an 1 hour here, 2 hours there. Still has Plenty of Battery Life left. Sounds Really Good with my Old School Music. If your looking for a Good Sounding, Good Quality Speaker this is it! Definitely one of the better speakers that I have tested. Very easy to connect to your device that you want to stream from.

Mediocrity at its best!
Sorry but nothing stands out about the speaker. It has many light modes I liked none of them. Had one mode pretending to go to the beat of the music but it didn't. Sound was ok bass was weak and can't possibly be waterproof maybe splash proof. All in all I have tested many better brands so I cannot recommend this.

Fantastic speaker for the size
This speaker sounds very good. Has more bass than other speakers of this size, and even the lights look better through the diffused inner plastic piece. It even has a way to change the lights around, including one setting that gives it a warm gas lantern light. Nice touch. The buttons are intuitive, I like how you just have to double tap the power to turn off instead of having to hold it down. This speaker is more expensive than other cheaper options for sure, but if you have the extra money this is a great speaker for the price. I have played with many speakers, and this one has been my go to for quite a few activities. At the time of this review, they are asking $80 for this speaker. For the solid quality and really good sound, I'd say it is worth the ask. I'd try to get one on sale if you can, but I try to be frugal with my electronic devices.

Not like the old ihome
As usual connection is quick and easy. The battery life is great and I like the lights plus the idea that it is waterproof. Having a few other ihome speakers I was really hopeful with this one but not so much now. The thing that I don’t like about it is the bass, all the others I have have sounded really good but with this one I’m not impressed at all, the bass just doesn’t live up to all my other ones. I understand that this isn’t very expensive but come on ihome, I know you can do better than this one.

Nothing Impressive…
This is no cheap BT Speaker for its size compared to todays market. This speaker really has no reason for the price it carries for the sound quality is lacks. The sound is dull, the bass is almost absent. The audio lacks any real clarity. It’s a bit of flat tinny mids with cloudy highs. If anyone says different, then this must be a new world to them or they’re fibbing. I’ve listened to several BT speakers. I have several. I enjoy trying new BT speakers. But if they don’t hold the value, I’ll let you know! The LED lights are a cool touch but serve as a reason to ask a higher price I guess. I would not buy this item at $40 let alone $80!! I have a $35 BT Speaker that screams over this one and sounds much better. That speaker is a maio m7. You want a good sounding speaker for cheap that gets loud with clean audio, the maio m7 is your pick. You can buy 2 of them for what 1 of these costs and you can use TWS to hook both speakers together and you have a stereo vs mono setup that you’ll appreciate quickly. Might sound a bit harsh here but $80 is no small purchase for a underwhelming speaker. iHome had decent sound years ago. But they also didn’t have the competition that is available today within the price range.
