They sit somewhere between medium and soft in reality. For a spare room or as a budget refresh for a bed that doesn't need exacting support, they're fine. I kept them. I wouldn't buy them again with the expectation of firm. Read the star ratings carefully before ordering, there's a pattern in the reviews for a reason.
