I'm extremely picky with my matcha. I've honestly gatekept this brand and variety because I'm afraid of it selling out... But I have to leave a glowing review. I really just have to. I noticed a huge upgrade in their packaging. It used to come just in a plain Amazon bubble envelope, but now they've upgraded to branded boxes, wrapping paper, and an even bigger origami paper freebie :)Really, though, this matcha is my very favorite. It's deeply and vibrantly green, naturally sweet, not bitter whatsoever. It is a massive upgrade from any other "premium" matcha I've tried. When mine ran out and I didn't plan ahead properly, I had to order another brand in the interim. It's just... fine. Haha. People really enjoy that brand but it is truly just okay. It does not stand up to this delicious matcha. I've been drinking matcha for something like 15 years and have never had anything this good.Also, please watch their product video on how the matcha is made. I really appreciated seeing their brand represented in the video and seeing the step-by-step process, why they do certain processes, etc. It made me even more confident it's actually a great product directly from the source.I'm a huge fan of this brand and will continue to support them as long as they will continue to feed my addiction :) Please restock the 1lb bag becuase I'm absolutely going to treat myself to it once you do!! :)

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I really like this product. I had been drinking matcha for other products and definitely love this one. It has a very good flavor and enjoy to prepare it every day. My daughter told me she doesn’t like matcha but she asked me for a taste of my matcha and now she’s asking me to prepare one for her as well. I will definitely going to order another because my husband also ask me for one for him as well. I recommend this product.

I’m not the kind of person who usually writes product reviews—I’m honestly pretty lazy about it. But I’ve had Akira Matcha powder for a while now and finally got around to trying it yesterday when some relatives came to visit. I had just gotten back from being out of the country and hadn’t had a chance to open it until then.I made matcha for all of us, and I was really impressed. First of all, the color was a beautiful, vibrant green—definitely a sign of high quality. The taste was smooth, rich, and not bitter at all. I absolutely love it.

If they can keep the price to quality ratio up on this matcha, I’m sold for life!! Matcha Konomi began in 2015, ten years ago so is fairly new for a matcha producer. I must tell you I’m a bit suspicious. Have you ever been to a new restaurant where the price to quality is over the top at first and then a few years later you wouldn’t let your dog eat there? I must admit, all I’ve tried so far is Matcha Konomi’s Akira and so far I can honestly tell you the price to quality thoroughly knocked my socks off…let’s see if how long these folks can keep this up!!!!

I love this matcha! The taste is super earthy, the only downside of this matcha is that I finish it in less than a month :/ so if you drink matcha daily it can be expensive, but it is really good!

I just had my first matcha latte using this and I’m really happy with the quality. When I opened the tin, it had a fresh, grassy smell and the powder was a beautiful bright green—exactly what I was hoping for in a ceremonial grade matcha. The latte I made turned out smooth and delicious, and it gave me a nice energy boost without any jitters.Even though the delivery estimate said it would arrive late, it actually came on time! A nice surprise. I also loved the thoughtful touch of including a little origami paper in the package. I’m planning to make something with it soon—such a cute idea!Highly recommend this matcha.
