USE IT IMMEDIATELY TO SEE IF IT WORKS
I bought this press 4 months ago and have just now used it for the first time. Sadly it is beyond the return period. I have been buying from AMAZON for many years and typically have never had a problem with a product. If I did, AMAZON has gone above and beyond to remedy it. Although this press looks nice, it barely has any practical function. The plunger is round while the cup is oval so it gets caught on the edge when trying to use it. Applying an even amount of pressure to crush the clove doesn't cut it, literally. It smooshes it so that it overflows up the open sides of the oval cup rather than pressing it through the cutter screen on the bottom. I had to apply a great deal of pressure to which the results were almost none, minimal at best. Over and over again I would re-pack the clove and the result was almost un-usable. My hands were very sore from having to apply so much pressure. I ended up hand dicing the cloves for my dish. I will admit this could be a fluke judging by some of the other reviews however, if you buy one, I would suggest using it immediately to see if it works.

This is a good quality, heavy dirty garlic press. It looks like it is made to last for years and it also comes with other little gadgets. I would highly recommend buying this piece instead of something that is less costly and can break down in a few months.

I have problems with my hands, but this garlic press is so easy to use! Have not tried rolling garlic because I’ve always used a knife to crush. This press is extremely easy to clean without tools as well!

Works! The garlic peel remover was easy to use. Only a few garlic cloves can be crushed at once. And easy to clean.

Not functional... for long
After three months of modest use, the handles compress so closely together that they do not press the garlic. It's as if they bent inward through modest use. Useless device at this point.
