I bought the light with a magnify glass for my husband. He types on the computer alot, makes lamps from wine bottles or any bottle just about. He also makes game boards. It has help alot for him to do all of these.

Great for someone with macular degeneration. The 10x magnifying glass combined with the BRIGHT light helps seeing and reading!!!

The two rings of light around the magnifier are great! Lots of light and the intesity adjustment is fabulous. The base is heavy enough to support the head in any position. The magnifier is clear and definitely supplies enough magnification. I read about the issue with the head of the lamp not staying tight to hold the lamp head up or even flat. This is definitely a problem. I put a washer in the screw clamp but it's still not enough. I am working on another solution. I wish the manufacturer would fix this problem.

Unusable - the screw that holds the head in place was stripped out after two weeks. Nice features, but unusable now that the head won't stay where you put it.

If you're going to use this in a fixed position, ok; though, no guarantees the head-lock-key will hold. The mechanism for locking the head/light fixture is too weak to maintain the tension it needs to not eventually start dropping in slow increments. Attempting to really crank down on the lock-key feels unsafe... Lighting is poor for a magnifying lamp (2200 lumens sounds like a lot, isn't: 4000+ is better) unless you're using it via piggy-backing another light source. Also, the stem that locks to its base is not a firm fit, it has a 3/16" gap all the way round, so, it will rock a little, even when locked by its turn screw. Buy something higher priced, that isn't built to slowly become a nuisance and landfill object.

This is perfect for the model working my husband does. The magnification is perfect to see all the different details of his work. The stand is solid. The adjustment arm is able to be used in any direction needed. The adjustable lights help the most. The white and yellow lighting adjust to whatever light you desire. Highly recommend!!

The good: the light is plenty bright and the dual controls let you get a wide range of color temperatures, which is great for dialing in the perfect illumination for any given task.The mediocre: the weighted base just isn't heavy enough to do a long reach without tipping, despite what the pictures show.The bad: the lens itself has only a small area that's not distorted. I have another lighted magnifier that has a much bigger area of undistorted magnification. This unit is okay for small, close work but beware, the lens is small and only the middle 50% of it is useful optically, so if you're hoping to magnify a scene, forget it. If you just want a close up of one tiny area, it'll do.So it's not terrible, but neither is it good. But it's not quite "bad".
