Easy to install, good quality

What I like best about this rooftop carrier is the ample straps and heavy fabric result in a bag that doesn't readily flutter in the wind. It greatly aids in security if you have side rails and at least a front cross bar. The included non skid protection pad enables this carrier to be set directly on to your roof so you don't need an additional roof rack. I found that it works best if you have it full or nearly full. A partial load can be carried if you move it toward the front so that that the wind over the roof doesn't lift the front edge. I tested the zippers with a hose and no water got through.Size wise, it's best suited to mid and full size SUV's. It can be used on smaller cross overs and SUV's but best if you have some side rails and cross bars to keep it in place. I did not try the included door clips so can't render an opinion on how well they would work.

So I purchased this product to give us more interior room in our Hyundai Sante are. We have 2 large dogs that we feel need room to spread out. I am impressed with the quality and it sort of fits on the roof, however it is to large. This is not the manufacturer issue as I measured incorrectly. We did not use it as I was going to send it back. Missed the return windows due to some personal issues, so we will try this again and fold up the horizontal edges like I have seen while traveling from other persons and cargo bags. I cannot speak to its waterproofing or noise at this time.

This carrier is a great addition if you need a little more space for luggage. With 3 car seats, our minivan is quite packed. If you don't have a luggage rack, this carrier can be clipped to the door frame by peeling back the rubber seal inside the door and clipping over the metal. The zipper has a double layer of protection against moisture, with a 3-4" wide velcro flap and a rubber flap right over the zipper. It was fairly easy to get this clipped on our van: the hardest part was pulling back the rubber seal on the door frame. It was also easy to load and unload by standing just inside the sliding doors. We're looking forward to using this on our next long trip.

This is built tough, and highly rated soft top. Will fit plenty of luggage and gear. This will be just fine in down pours and rainy rough weather and treatment. Rated 4.2 out of 5. Comes with everything you need to pack it up and go.. Much easier to put together than most out there. The price for this quality, still competitive price. This is a huge, heavy-duty carrier cover with excellent straps and material, as advertised. It comes folded down very small and is easy to carry that way when it's not being used.From the photos, I thought this might have been a hard-sided carrier with a heavy waterproof cover. But no, it's just the soft cover - it'll go over any hard carrier or base you've got that'll fit inside of it, or you can just pack it full of stuff and strap it in place. It's good for all of the above. Just know that it's only the soft outer layer.Time to go on a wet & windy expedition!

I got this for my 2016 Subaru Crosstrek and it's quite a bit disproportionally too big for my car.The roof of my car tapers towards the rear of the vehicle, so it doesn't fit as well as I had expected.If you have a larger SUV this could be a nice and versatile cargo carrier bag for your vehicle.The fabric is extremely sturdy and overall, other than the very large dimensions, this would make a lot of people happy with just the large volume of stuff you can fit inside this bag.Recommended!
