After less than a year's use it just stopped being able to prise open tin cans. It would prise parts of the lid off but leave parts still attached. Similar thing happened with a previous lifter from another manufacturer. I get the feeling the longevity of these devices is more limited than traditional tin openers that CUT the tin. Pity as I appreciated the ability to avoid sharp edges.

Excellent smooth action once I had worked out how to use it. Instructions that come with it are in really odd English and make no sense. Beautifully made and looks great also. Got mine for £20 as opposed to its original price of £50 which some might consider rather hefty to pay for a can opener but if it's quality you want then ....

I've never thought that a can opener could be as good as this one.

Brilliant tin opener but the instructions are written in gibberish

Gosh, I found this difficult to use. I have MS and as a result my hands are not that good. I thought this would be easier to use as my 'grip' is virtually non-existent.

This seems a well made item, and once I had overcome the idea that everything I open may contain roast pork having turned said machine for a week, I was suitably surprised...
