I replaced a very old, worn out, substandard mattress with this one, so bearing in mind that just about anything would have been an improvement, I have to say I'm completely satisfied with this mattress and not sure what could be better.The latex foam has a little less give and sink, and a little more springiness than memory foam, so it has an overall firmer feel which is just what I was hoping for when I selected this one over the memory foam gel model. It still conforms to your body to a degree, but gives a little more support overall. To me it's incredibly comfortable, allowing me to fully and quickly relax my body. The proof is in the soundness of sleep I've gotten and also how quickly I'm able to get to sleep. I really didn't understand that a new, quality mattress would make this big of an impact, but I do now. I'm only sorry I didn't make this purchase sooner, as I had researched and decided on this one a few months ago. I chose the 10" one, the descriptions and video reviews I watched indicate that the 12" model is a little softer and plusher. I think I chose the right one for me because I'm happy with a medium amount of firmness and might have found the 12" too soft.Unpacking and setup was simple and fast. The instructions recommend allowing 48 hours to expand before use, but mine seemed fully expanded after 24 hours so I slept on it after one day and it was fine. There was a slight to moderate odor of foam that fully dissipated after two or three days.I've read and seen some reviews that suggest this mattress may be less durable than a more expensive one, perhaps lasting only 3-4 years (although it has a 10 year warranty). At this very affordable price for this level of comfort, I will be more than happy even if I only get a shorter amount of useful life (and I'll never make the mistake of going so long on a worn out mattress again). I would fully recommend this mattress for the value and comfort, and the latex model is perfect for someone who prefers a bit firmer, supportive feel.

This is our second Lucid mattress. It replaced one purchased 8 years ago (Lucid 10'). The difference being this one has the coil springs. It expanded well and fully within 36 hours. The support is as described - medium/firm. We both feel like the edges are not as firm as our previous Lucid model. In spite of the description specifically stating "Edge Support", it just feels softer, likely due to the coils and less foam or lower density foam, on the edges. The Latex top layer is much more responsive than memory foam IMO and better at heat regulation. There is little motion transfer from either of us that we notice. Initial sleep quality was ok most likely due to getting used to the additional support that our previous one had lost. Overall I feel it is a good value for the price

I have a futon in my living room that is so uncomfortable as a couch that I never used it in couch form... But then as a bed the mattress was horrible! Figured since I never folded it I might as well get a decent mattress for it. It just so happens I was in a car accident a couple weeks before getting this. I injured my back and my sciatic nerve was a wreck from laying on that futon mattress for two weeks. Immediately after the first night my sciatic nerve felt so much better and my all around comfort level was greatly improved. I don't know why I didn't do this a long time ago... I noticed some of the questions people ask and I waited 8 mos to write this. First, There is no smell at all. There are some sleezy amazon sellers out there that sell junk but this product is very clean, well packaged and better than I thought it would be. It's a memory foam mattress will steel coils so it feels like a quality mattress from a mattress store. Some people aren't fans of memory foam but with the springs its another level. It's a medium feel, not too firm, not too soft. I chose lucid from a video review I'd seen after a bunch of research. I got the protective cover and a pillow top which I highly suggest. Side note I also got a my pillow to seal the deal... So it comes rolled up and shrink wrapped. I had a bad experience with a wedge pillow but this mattress came to life right away and I actually slept on it 6 hours after getting it. It was totally in shape by then. I've had it for 8 mos now. I'm 180 and my dog is about 80lbs. So far there are no sunk in spots and is still in the same shape as the day I got it. If you're looking for a mattress, You like a more traditional feel with an added layer of memory foam and You don't want to spend 1000 dollars or more. Don't hesitate. It's a deal and you won't be disappointed.

When I ordered this latex mattress, I was worried it would be too firm. I wanted latex-hybrid, because I sleep hot. I am 6'1" 300 pounds, side sleeper. Let me tell you that it is perfect amount of firmness, for me. It feels soft. I sink in to it, but it does not swallow me. It's just right. Might be too firm for very light people.

First, a disclaimer. I have no affiliation with any of the companies and products I review. If I love something I enjoy recommending it. I also have a big mouth and can type very fast. Bad combination sometimes. Heh. Since this is a bed and a very important part of a persons life I spent hours watching and re-watching video reviews for the diff offerings out there. The same for reading reviews. At this point I can tell you nearly everything about every latex hybrid and memory foam bed out there. It's been exactly a month sleeping on it so I feel I can do a good review. After around two weeks of obsessing over beds I finally settled on this bed. It is a latex hybrid which was very important for me. I cannot sleep in a bed that is warm and traps heat. So far it does not disappoint.The bed was very easy to set up and there was no off gassing. The little tool included came in handy and once you used it the plastic slipped off very easily and the bed began to come to life. In one of the pics you will see what the corner of the mattress looked like immediately after it expanded. There is a tiny indentation where the zipper was but over night this filled out and you will see this in another one of the pics. That is what I expected anyway. I was able to sleep on the bed that night. The mattress cover is really nice and actually comfortable to sleep on as is. I had a diff brand cover on it up until a week ago and I removed it and have been sleeping on the default cover and I really like it. Whether you sleep on the mattress as is or toss a diff brand cover on top of Lucid's cover you'll be happy. I would say the firmness is medium. I weigh approximately 210 pounds and I never sank into it and it was easy to get out of. No special gymnastics maneuvering. I wake up feeling fine and pain free. I have some muscle issues and this bed does no aggravate them at all. There is nothing I can call a "con" when discussing this bed. The closest thing I would call a con would be the fact that the box could have had cutouts on the sides of the box to make it easier for one person to drag or carry. Of course this isn't related to the bed itself so I wouldn't even consider it when reviewing or buying it. I am happy with this bed. The price point is excellent and I can see me getting many years out of this bed. Why pay $1500-2000 for a bed that won't last much longer? These beds are also really fun to setup. They go from pancake to the most comfortable thing in moments. Not sure what else to say. If you buy this bed you won't be disappointed.

Excelente colchón, está en el punto exacto de suavidad y firmeza, Lucid está en un rango de precio medio, ví opciones en otras marcas que costaban el doble o incluso más, aunque también las hay más económicas, es difícil comprar un colchon sin probarlo antes, pero para mí resultó exactamente como lo esperaba, duermo y descanso perfecto, volvería a comprar de ésta marca sin pensarlo 2 veces

We bought this for my mom after the expensive mattress she got with her adjustable bed completely fell apart. Part of the reason I bought this one over any other was that it says it has a specific edge support, which it does, but I do wish that edge was more supportive when she sits on it to get dressed, etc. so far it has been really comfortable and is holding up to the test of the adjustable bed, which is the most important part. Took a while for it to fully inflate after we unpackaged it, but after 30ish hours it was good to go.

Estuve en busca de un colchón durante algún tiempo ya que padezco de escoliosis, por tanto necesito tener un colchón con buen soporte lumbar ya que suelo tener mucho dolor en la espalda baja.Después de investigar y ver reseñas, supe que un colchón híbrido era la mejor opción así que me decidí por este modelo, sin embargo, cuando lo recibí estaba muy maltratada la caja y el plástico que lo envolvía tenía algunas perforaciones.Con todo y eso me atreví a extender el colchón durante el tiempo estipulado (y un poco más) y la verdad es que es muy cómodo. Suelo levantarme sin el dolor que me causaba mi anterior colchón, el único inconveniente que le encuentro es que cuando pasas mucho tiempo acostado (8-9hrs) el colchón se empieza hundir ligeramente y resulta un poco incómodo aunque después retoma su firmeza normal.
