I've been burned many times getting shelving that has a wood shelf that warps and fails over time due to weight, humidity, etc. That is not the case with these units. I have three of them and have them loaded up with a ton of weight. They are rock solid. These things are built well enough that you could hand them down through your family for generations (although I can think of things much more exciting to inherit than metal shelving). To say that this is a two-person lift to move it is an understatement - get some help and get something with wheels!Some local stores like Lowes also sell these units and their pricing initially appears much cheaper than Amazon. However, that is only the case if they are in stock. My local store didn't and it was almost $100 to have it shipped, so that put it right in the same price range as Amazon and ordering from Amazon was much easier than ordering online with Lowes.The bottom line is that the sturdiness of these units is beyond question. The only issue I can see that some may have with them is that each shelf is welded wire steel, which isn't a smooth surface if you are trying to drag anything on the shelves as you add and remove items. Most users won't care as they are storing items with smooth surfaces, like boxes, that will slide easily. Other may want to store items that don't have a rigid, smooth surface (something that has feet on it, etc.) , so you won't be able to slide those things on the shelves, but you can still store them easy enough.

I am satisfied with the end result, but putting this thing together was an all day saga. I even had a couple friends helping for about an hour of the process. Several pieces arrived bent which meant I had to hammer them aggressively back into shape. It feels very sturdy.

Save yourself some money and purchase this system at your local Lowe's. I love this product; simple to assemble, strong, lightweight (for its carrying capacity), boltable to floor. However,I purchased the exact same kit at my Lowe's store for about half the price advertised here.

Excellent rack and great quality, but it’s $100 less at your local Lowe’s. We paid $200 for ours.

I have this rack set-up in my garage and it holds all my bigger tools nice and organized. The directions suck for putting this thing together but there's a video on YouTube. One you got the main idea on how to put it together it's actually really easy.
