What I was looking for at a great price
So we all know how expensive T-molding can be. Surprising I am very happy with this. Seems to be sticking nicely. I used for the entry to the basement and saved ๐ด. Only time will tell on the durability

Works great
I use this outside on the part of the step that becomes the porch. The squirrels in the neighborhood like to gnaw on this step to wear down their teeth! The tape is really sticky and even with rain, has kept this strip in place. It's also stopped the chewing!

Not sticky, doesn't stay.
Didn't stay on even 1 full day. Already coming off. Very disappointed and a waste of money. Surface was clean.

The adhesive is not good. That's a major flaw.
The reason I bought this particular brand of stair edge protector is because I wanted a bright yellow color, for safety reasons, to show where several sections of deck paths change levels. This is the only yellow trim on Amazon. But the adhesive does not stick well to my pressure treated wood. The wider "upper part" seems to stick OK. But the shorter section that goes over the nose of the step does not stick well. I had to use screws to fasten it to the stair nose. The adhesive that is used here is identical to U-Glu (which you can buy). It's not the best adhesive. The protective plastic that covers the adhesive must be peeled away first. And, it is not an easy task to peel the red plastic away. The adhesive itself wants to peel away when you are trying to peel the plastic away. There really should be an "overhang" for the protective red plastic so that there is something to grab on to in order to peel it away. So, all in all, the engineering of this product lacks practicality. Maybe all the other brands are similar -- I don't know. But this certainly is not a "slam-dunk".

Easy fit
These were easy to cut to size I needed, I wished they would have been wider but I put 2 side by side to compensate and so far they work well.

Good luck straightening this out
Good luck getting it to straighten out. Note: this comes in a roll, not a rigid solid piece. The photos seem pretty misleading
