Bookmark, Metal Feather Plumage, Eastern Style (Retro Mask)

I got the bronze feather with the skeleton key charm. This is probably the coolest bookmark ive ever purchased, but it's not my favorite. The hook on the feather is much too narrow, so the feather itself digs into the spine of your book or journal, and the outside of the hook drags across the outer spine, leaving scuffs. The feather bookmark itself is also very thick. I like when my books lay closed flat with a bookmark, but this one makes it bulge, and my one journal that had an elastic band closure, it would barely close with its bulk. I would love it much more if it was thinner and if the hook was much wider, however, I did find a use for it. I have a soft cover journal with a loose elastic band that this fits nicely into, and the bronze color goes well with the chocolate colored cover. It still leaves a bulge, though. If I hadn't found somewhere to put it, I wouldn't like it as much, but I did, and I like it for what I use it for. But it seems like unless I can widen the hook somehow, its use pretty much ends there.

My son loves reading + skeleton keys, so this bookmark is the perfect gift. The smaller size with the feather being just 4 inches will work great for the size of the books he reads. The box is made of a burlap looking material, which can pass for a masculine gift.

Very nice, beautifully packaged and arrived on time. Its a little dainty for my taste just wish it was a little bigger -- masculine. Will definitely order again.
