The heater works well in a insulated house I built for a Ferrell cat. The surface gets hot to the touch when on high, but with an insulated house there is no need to run it on high. It warm the house up nicely and keeps heating. It takes a bit of guess work to adjust for lower temp, but I figure anything is better than the cat would have naturally.

This item provides less heat than a heating pad, not at all worth the money. I should have tested it when I received it, but waited for the cold weather and now it too late to return. So if you buy one (don't!) test it out right away to see if yours gives off any heat. Total junk.

It doesn't heat! Can BARELY feel anything less than 1 inch away and that's all the way up to 120 degrees! We installes it in our dog house and it was cold after having it in there all night! Do not waste your money on this product!

For what it cost this is a not worth it. I had it set to the highest level and it didn’t heat up the dog house at all. I ended up going to Walmart to buy a cheap $20 small space heater and that is doing the trick.

Ran for 2 days straight and I could lay my hand on it. Should of paid me $90 to try it. Complete rip off
