Exactly what I needed
Purchased this in particular for better use of Windows handwriting keyboard. Plugged into the computer, downloaded the driver and it was all good to go. Instructions were very clear. Product came in factory sealed packaging so that was a big plus. Easy to use and if you are like me who is using a Windows PC without a touchscreen monitor and wants to utilize the handwriting keyboard, this one is for you. It’s very simple and basic, and compact, without all other fancy features which was what I wanted, and the price was right. In my opinion after watching several videos and testing it myself, if you are intending to do any art work, you might want to invest in another model with more features and functions. Once again, this model is very basic, but serves my needs perfectly.

Beginner Friendly
It is incredibly easy to use and it’s cheap. Besides downloading the driver it is pretty much plug and play. I bought it out of frustration because wacom was so hard to use and very sensitive. Although XP Pen is not paper-like like wacom it’s not a big deal if you’re just using it for note taking or want to try out digital art.It is pretty thin and lightweight so I don’t know how durable it will be. Ideal for students and teachers.

it sure is one of the tablets i've ever used
ignore how greasy my tablet looks omg i think it's just really easy to get dirty but the all black pen is the one that comes with this tablet, but the silver/black one is my deco pro pen.okay so!!!! i'm an xp pen user til the day i die hehe i'm so loyal. i used to use the deco pro mw and small, but then the ports cracked in both of them which made them basically unusable. then in the middle of my sleep deprived delirium, i decided that i'd get a baby xp pen tablet as a temporary replacement. i hopped on amazon, found the star g640, and bought it on a whim. it arrived on the same day bc i'm a ✨ prime user ✨ so i started using it immediately after i woke up.it's very small, and i have it connected to my laptop. it's okay if you wanna draw in bed, but if you're at a table, the tablet's corners are a bit sharp (?) so it might scratch your forearm rubbing against it. it's also extremely light so if you have it laying on your body then it won't put a lot of pressure yay. also the tablet doesn't have buttons at all unlike deco pro, but the pen does have the typical left/right click buttons. speaking of the pen...here is the make or break: the pen is REALLY uncomfortable?? maybe it's bc i've grown so used to the rubber on the deco pro pens, but this pen really reminds me of the wacom intuos pen but significantly cheaper (which i guess is what you'd imagine for a $40 drawing tablet but that doesn't mean i can't be disappointed LOL). and for some reason, the strokes feel slower and less precise? maybe that's my own skill issue but it seriously felt super wrong and i was beginning to get kinda exhausted from drawing. i was contemplating returning the tablet altogether and rushing to get another deco pro, but then i had the idea to try and use my deco pro pen on it and IT WORKED????? 💃💃 so now it actually doesn't physically hurt me to use!!!!!! which is good bc i REALLY didn't wanna get another tablet LMFAOOOO. if it weren't for the pen compatibility, i would honestly have given this either three or even two stars, but i'd say it bumped it back up to a four. which technically is not this product by itself, i just got really lucky i've already used xp pen, and i appreciate the fact that you can cross over the pens between different xp tablets, so it can have the extra star <3tl;dr the tablet is okay, the work space is small but reasonably so. if you aren't a beginner then you'll recognize how awful this pen feels to hold. if you're buying from xp pen then just get a deco pro i'm so serious 😭😭 but this tablet really is as much as it's worth and i'd definitely recommend it for BEGINNER artists, especially kids.

EXCELLENT customer service
UPDATE: I am changing my review to a 5 star because of the excellent customer service. I contacted the company and they clearly stand behind their product by sending me a new one in less than a week. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'm a dyslexia therapist and use this tablet to help teach students online. It works great for that purpose. However I bought mine in December 2024 and this week, only 7 months later, it stopped working during a session. The USB cord will not stay connected. I've tried multiple cords without success so it's the port on the tablet itself. Granted it's not very expensive but it should work longer than 7 months. I've reached out to customer support and will update my review.

Excellent Budget-Friendly Drawing Tablet for Beginners and Professionals!
I recently purchased the XP-Pen StarG640, and it has exceeded my expectations for a drawing tablet in this price range. The setup was seamless on both my Windows laptop and Chromebook, and the compatibility with popular design and drawing software is fantastic. The battery-free stylus is incredibly responsive, offering 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity, making it perfect for detailed artwork or note-taking. The 6x4 inch surface is compact yet provides enough space to work comfortably. It's also lightweight, which makes it portable for on-the-go projects.I primarily use it for digital art, and the accuracy and smoothness of the strokes are remarkable for such an affordable tablet. It also works great for online learning and remote work, especially for tasks like annotating PDFs or sketching ideas during meetings. For anyone looking for a reliable, easy-to-use drawing tablet without breaking the bank, the XP-Pen StarG640 is a fantastic choice!

Decent Drawing Tablet
The Drawing Tablet XPPen StarG640 is decent but has some drawbacks. It connects easily via Bluetooth, but the connection can be a bit spotty at times, causing brief lags that interrupt the drawing flow. The tablet’s pressure sensitivity is okay for basic tasks but doesn’t provide the precision that more advanced artists might want. It’s lightweight and portable, which is nice, but the battery life is just average and requires frequent charging. Overall, it’s fine for beginners or casual sketching, but professionals might find it lacking in responsiveness and detail.

Simple but works well
First one I ordered didn't work. But got a replacement by Amazon and I have been using it at least weekly for a few months now. It works great. The software is also pretty good.
