Good shampoo, pricey, yes it is. Not greasy, thick and creamy, cleans the hair and scalp very well. Leaves my hair soft and has good slip for finger detangling. Give it a try if the budget allows it. I had to wait to get it. Glad I did, smells delicious.

GREAT smell!! Just like sweet potato pie, reminds me of fresh harvest and Thanksgiving and Christmas, lol. Lathers very well, thick and leave hair feeling clean but moisturized, (not stripped like some shampoo's do). Decent value for the cost. I am a repeat buyer and had this, along with several other products from this line on auto ship for a while.

Full disclosure, I’m a white woman (mayonnaise American lol) and I have very fine 3A hair with a scalp that can easily becomes greasy and using conditioner is out of the question for me as it weighs down my hair and becomes greasy within hours. It also doesn’t help that I live in Houston Texas and the combination of humidity, sweat, and frizz is a year round battle. So finding a moisturizing shampoo that is light can be very tricky and in my lifetime I have tried hundreds of brands (salon, dermatologist prescribed, OTC) in forms of cream cleanser, foam, gel, suds free, it just goes on. I find that products/companies aimed towards POC have always been my sweet spot. I use Girl Hair products such as Curl Cloud and their ACV conditioner because the consistency is like water and super refreshing without the weight and prevented shaving bumps when I had a super short/faded haircut. I told my barber about it and he now’s uses it for his locs as well as shampoo services in his shop for locs, dreads, twists (it’s that good). Since growing my hair out, I use it more like a clarifying treatment since it isn’t super moisturizing but it does make my scalp feel refreshed and super clean, especially in the summer. But THIS shampoo is the best I have ever used. I thought it would be a little heavy because it looks like lotion but really it’s just whipped and light. I don’t need conditioner at all, where as with Girl Hair, I need both in order for it to detangle my hair. This made my hair super soft, rinsed easily, and I was able to run the comb through my hair in the shower without it getting stuck. It also did not leave my scalp feeling greasy, even into the next morning/day. The smell is obsessive! I like that my hair still smells even after my hair dries. I never heat style/dry my hair so after it naturally dried, my hair was the curliest it had ever been and the volume was unmatched. My hair is also thinning with age and I shed a lot so since I saw some of the reviews saying it helped with hair growth I’ve become excited to see how that goes but whether it does or not, I will continue to use this shampoo. I haven’t tried any of the associated products because I think they might be to heavy for normal use but I may get something and use it as a overnight deep conditioning mask on occasion. I saw people complain about the price for the size and I must say it isn’t a big deal for me. My hair is shorter and fine so I don’t have to use as much but I can definitely see how it would be a problem for longer/thicker hair or someone with a much tighter curl pattern. Trust me, I’ve spent way more for even less product before so finding something that makes me really happy is worth it. So overall I highly recommend it as the smell is divine, it’s moisturizing but light, enhances my curls, and doesn’t leave my hair feeling greasy even after 24 hours.

Great product love the smell

I have lupus so my hair is thrashed. This is actually made for natural black hair but it was recommended. It saved my hair and it’s not falling out anymore. There is an oil in it so I’m back to washing my hair daily but no broken hair in hairbrush and my hair is very shiny and smooth.

this product moisturizes my 4c hair very well and smells great- i love it, but for eight ounces $15 is too high. this product would be five star if the price was reasonable

Smells good and moisturizing

Love it. It is so creamy and makes great lather. I've only used in once but I was definitely pleased with the way it felt on my hair.
