This is a beautiful kit, worthy of gifting. It is also very complete with good instructions. It's a nice touch having the three different tints of gold, and having the two cups to break for practice use. I have repaired a few things already, practicing. My only comment would be regarding the two-part-glue nozzle. It's a "one-time-use" apparently so purchase more glue, ideally in a separate tube for each half of the glue. You should also realize that the included paint brush is also and obviously a one-time-use use item so you will want more of them. After all, you're using it to apply epoxy (mixed with gold pigment.

I've used other kintsugi kits in the past, but this modern kintsugi kit exceeded my expectations, particularly with the quality of the resin. The bio-resin is made from linseed, which not only aligns with my eco-friendly values but also performs exceptionally well. Pros - Easy(ish) for a beginner. - Instructions came with lots of helpful tips. Read them before starting! - I fixed a ~6" vase that had broken into ~10 pieces, and I have maybe half the glue still left (and LOTS of the mica). - Feels strong enough for my purposes (a vase I use to hold tiny flowers; without water if my seams leaks). - Enabled me to salvage a broken vase that has great significance to me. - The instructions say this process is akin to healing or self repair/improvement over time (or something like that), so they say to take your time, relax, and enjoy the process. I liked that perspective and shifted from this being a chore (fix this vase) to more of a zen-like, meditative experience (relax, breath, renew something I love). Cons - Have to hold the pieces together very carefully/longer than expected; hard to get them to bond, even upon following instructions carefully. Be patient! Tips - The glue dries FAST, so only dispense a tiny amount at a time. Will dry in the dish in just a few minutes. (That said, it takes much longer to harden up the point where you can take pressure off the pieces you're holding together.) - Have extra gloves available. - Have acetone available for clean up of the surface of your item. - This wasn't recommended, but after some very messy patches, I started applying BLUE PAINTER'S TAPE to the areas that I didn't want getting messy. OVERALL: If the cost remains stable, I'd buy again. I'm confident subsequent projects would be better with practice.

Bought this to work on broken pottery. Not easy to use, the tip of the gold liquid is small but no matter how hard we tried, it yielded a big drop and strand of liquid. The result is like a kid drawing out of line… maybe part of it is my skill but this tool is not a breeze for beginner for sure.

I read the instructions thoroughly and still the outcome was a sticky mess that looked horrible. The sample ceramic cups are tiny.

Recently I purchased 2 cups from a charity shop, as with any impulse buy I didn't thoroughly check to see if there was any cracks ...arriving home I realised one of the cups was..I have read about kintsugi before when I was doing my art degree so I headed to amazon to see if there was such a kit and landed upon this one. Easy to use, the right tools to do the job and enough to apply to more cracked items. Don't hesitate Just buy!

Works perfect. Too much gold in the set. Better to practice on somethibg less valuable and be fast.
