I'm rating this product low because it failed within two weeks. It won't heat up! The control switch display is lit up and showing two zeros. When it did work prior to now, I got major relief from using it.FLASH!!! I contacted the mfg---therasage.com @ their listed phone #. I spoke with Matt the customer service rep. GREAT response! They are shipping me out a new unit with a RA to return the defective one.Any product can fail, great service after the sale is what truly counts!I'll edit my review after I receive and check out my new unit!REVISED REVIEW!!!OOPS! MEA CULPA! Therasage unit is working just fine now! It seems the problem was---ME! I had plugged the cord into the electrical outlet prior to inserting the connector end into the control receptacle. The result was, it indicated two zeros and would not heat.The proper sequence is simply to connect the unit and tighten the cap---THEN, plug it into your wall outlet.Therasage came through with fantastic customer service! Melody, the customer service manager was a pleasure to deal with. She proved to be very understanding, a good listener, friendly and professional.I was promptly sent a new unit and a prepaid RA to return my "old" unit.I have been using this product long enough to achieve excellent results. My lower back pain has been greatly alleviated by combining exercise, inversion therapy, chiropractic and last but certainly not least, my Therasage infra-red heating pad!My chiropractor and my VA doctor each had recommended infra-red heat and I'm now sold on it as well.REVISED: 5/2/13After I published my first review Melody, the customer service manager asked me to revise my comments to indicate a positive opinion of Therasage and my experience with the product! In return, she would send me an adapter (@ no charge) so that I could use the unit in my vehicle. I returned the new replacement unit to her and revised my review comments per Melody's request. I also indicated to her that I was not going to disconnect the unit from the 4-pin connector, since I didn't truly trust it. Melody did NOT follow thru with her promise to send me the adapter! She did NOT answer my follow-up letter either!My opinion of Therasage has taken a nose-dive!

Hello everyone: I purchased this heating pad for my left leg lymphedma caused by radiation and removal of my lymph nodes in my uterus after having Papillary Serous Endometrious Cancer Stage 4. I was hoping the heating pad would make my left hip joint feel better, but I must need cold packs. The heating pad gets very hot, which helped some of my fluid to be released in the left thigh because of having to go to the bathroom.The heating pad is neat for it has rows of round jade that emits the heat to your body. The cord that goes into the heating pad does come off easily and you need to check the cord if you are moving around for it comes lose.I guess I'm searching for a miracle product that will relieve my left hip joint pain...but haven't found it yet. The pad was very hard to get, which Amazon was the third place that I did have the product on hand! Being a Prime member, I paid 3.95 and got it the next day!

We have had the small size Therasage Far Infrared Heating Pad for several hours now and I wanted to report initial impressions only. But I also wanted to report that Therasage has solved the problem of the connector disconnecting that so many other reviews have reported. Those reports say that the connector easily comes apart enough to disconnect the power. Today, 3/10/2012, with this unit, they have redesigned the connector such that it screws together (much like the fitting for a cable on a TV) so that the connector is held securely in contact and can not separate. Do not worry about this being a problem.The unit itself seems well made and the electronic control for temperature and time works fairly intuitively and easily. The unit heats up in less than the 20 minutes described in the manual. The heat is even, strong if the higher temperature setting is selected (you have 1 thru 9 number settings to choose, no temperature units), and it felt good. The electrical cord is extra long, making for a more convenient hookup.The four stars is because the jury is still out on the supposed benefits of FIR heating, including deeper penetration, muscle elasticity improvement, blood flow circulation improvement and all the benefits that come with that. The manual even describes negative ion flow into the air so you breathe ions which improve several health conditions. I am very skeptical of that claim. But I will report back in several months on our longer term experience with aid to healing cramping muscles due to pinched nerves. I do note that the heating is superior to and much more convenient than the hot water bottle approach we previously used, so we see benefits already.Ken3/5/2013 It is a year later and we still use the heating pad regularly and I have raised the rating to 5 because this heating pad really does relieve our back and neck pain. We have seen no evidence of the back of the pad "crumbling" into pieces, as mention in a comment to my review. The pad works flawlessly every time. I recommend this pad to others.

Disappointing experience. The advertising sounded great and was very enticing, so I purchased it. But, it wasn't long before there were problems. Besides the fact that there is no on/off switch, the digital control kept malfunctioning by resetting to 00. When it is in 00 mode, you cannot do anything with it. Unplugging and replugging sometimes clears it so you can set the time and temp.Then the plug began to disengage from the pad ever so slightly, but enough to prevent it from working properly. It was annoying to lie down on the pad, discover that either the plug disengaged or the dial had reset itself to 00. The only resolution was to get up, unplug and replug and try again.I called the company and was authorized to send it back. They sent me a used replacement. When I complained they returned my "repaired" healing pad, but it wasn't long before it began doing the same thing.My suggestion is---don't waste your money. I
