Tweak it and it does the job actually!
Well for the money it's actually a decent little welder for the money with a bit of tweaking.. nothing fancy but after a few months use it's going strong and I've ran some decent welds out of it. Get rid of the little gas bottle (the one supplied was leaking at thread connection badly! Binned it). and regulator waste of time. Get yourself some fittings to connect to a full size regulator and gas bottle, safer and cheaper in the long run much better too if your welding under 1mm sheet. Those little bottles will barely last the hour... If you must go gasless (I'm not a fan) try some decent quality flux core wire. the supplied reels won't help your quest for getting decent welds out of it. It is by no means a great welding machine and it is probably a tough machine to learn on if your starting out, but it works with a regular tweaks on the dials. so far a few months in reliable and can get the job done. I run it to quickly tack up pieces, and to let mates use in the workshop so they leave my good kit alone ;) it's not really a standard torch connection and the cable is really short but there is torch parts available. Bin all the guff that comes with it and it's actually a decent little mig for the money in my opinion. Obviously if you can save the money for a Euro or US machine I'd wait and go that route. But if you need a machine on a budget to get a job done I need a garage or small workshop this is far better than many more expensive Chinese mig machines I've seen. I'm a full time workshop welder so that's just my opinion on the machine I got.

Definitely a beginners mig
Now I'm sure most people can guess that this is far from being an amazing product, the wire that comes with this isn't very good to straight away I'd order some more elsewhere and I'd also recommend getting a better mask as well as the fold up one provided is honestly terrible. Now setting wize your can use the lowest setting from a household plugs (also not provided as it states) but I have found that even on the lowest setting it is still quite high and is very early to burn holes on thin metal, but at the same time it is only a cheap mig welder so I wasn't expecting amazing things. So to round things up it's not the best mig out there but for what you pay it's perfect for a little starting one just to try it out to see if you'd want to invest in something proper down the line

Good little welder poor quality wire and mask supplied.
Bought this as my stick welder has seen better days and MIG is the way to go.This is a pretty good welder for light duty welding up to an estimated 4mm thick steel. On opening the box I found the welder plus the accessories supplied. You will have to clip the mask together as it comes flat packed and insert the glass plates held in by 2 plastic clips, a rather cheap and possibly dangerous mask for your eyes if the glass falls out, so beware and buy a good quality head mask. The handle will need fitted and the wire inserted into the drive unit before powering up.After feeding the wire through to the gun it jammed on the copper tip and after removing the tip and feeding the wire through a bit more I then refitted the tip and tested the welder on some mild steel. The results where horrendous and no matter what setting I used could not get a good arc or weld and it just splattered everywhere (possibly was plain steel wire). I decided to change the supplied wire to some new wire I had purchased from amazon. On first test the results where very good and the welder performed perfectly. I suggest you get some good quality wire for this welder for best results.I tried welding a piece of 4mm with great results so I'm well pleased with this little welder and would recommend as its great value for money specially with a 2 year guarantee.

Good little welder
Good little welder, however, it could do with a slightly better feed mechanism, as it often "stutters" and is difficult to find that "sweet spot" on the ire feed speed control, ad it does tend to wander in speed a little. So while you might have just found the sweet spot, that will change again. That said, this is a generic welder, so buying the WOLF brqnd over one of the other am is a quesrion of paying for the customer service (which I trust) as opposed to one of the other brands, which are all produced in the same factory and just painted and stickered to reflect the brand of whoever has bought them in, and are then reselling them.yes, I could have gotten it a good 20-30% cheaper, but then if so thing goes wrong be left to your own devices, or pay a fortune, and get an instant replacement if something goes wrong, but have basically paid 3-4 times the going rate.so I went with WOLF, as I know if something goes wrong they will try to rrepair it first, and if not possible, THEN replace or refund it.so, it's a choice of service versus price, and I went with what I consider the best option, and am still very happy with my choice.I like Wolf and have several of their products.(WOLF is the home brand of " UK Home Shopping.")

A good welder with a few flaws
As welding goes it does a fine job and easy to handle. I would say that the other welder I have used started the gas a fraction before the arc, where as I find this one starts the arc slightly, before requiring a firm push on the trigger to be sure gas is flowing when you strike an arc. That said it does a good job and is easy to control both AMPs and speed. The other issue that stops me giving it 5 stars is the parenthetic attempt at a gas bottle holder. Basically the gas bottle appears to have to levitate. So it falls off the back when wheeling it around and that once led to the pipe being pulled out and a large escape of gas until I shut the valve. I also think the valve design that discharges some gas every time you screw a bottle on and off is dangerous and wasteful. Probably does it for a reason but, a jet of freezing CO2 is not nice on the hands.
