Didn't end up using
I like that this had rubber covers on the prongs but it didn't fit my dog well. We ended up with a harness that actually helped a lot with the pulling so we didn't end up using this.

Not for thin necks.
We ordered a collar for our 9-month-old Pomsky puppy who weighs 15 pounds. Initially, we had to adjust the length by removing two links, which was easy to do. As a result, there are prongs over less than half of the collar, and sometimes the collar moves around the neck, causing all the prongs to appear on the back of the neck. This collar may work better for larger breeds. However, the collar is painless for our pup and only causes discomfort if he pulls on the leash. We mostly use it when bike-walking, and in this case, the collar stays in place, preventing our strong pup from pulling too hard and keeping us from chasing squirrels or cats into the bushes.

Nice collar
This training collar works good. It comes with extra links if needed. Pretty easy to put on and take off.

Safe and it works
So any dog owner knows that one of the most frustrating and infuriating things about walking a dog, is when the dog won't stop pulling. We have a 1 year old black lab and this dog is over 60 pounds of pure muscle. So needless to say, when taking her for a walk, she chooses where you go and how fast you go. It got to the point where I was the only person in the family able to handle her pulling all over, and nobody else in the house would be able to handle the dog. So we needed training ASAP. This is not the first prong training collar that I've gotten. I've had a very similar product but it didnt include the choker. Believe it or not, the choker has made a tremendous difference. With the previous collar, our dog would still continuously pull and apply a ton of pressure on the leash. This collar with choker made almost immediate impact. The dog still attempts to pull every once in a while but she does it in spurts when she gets excited vs just pulling all the time. I'm also now able to control the pace of the walks a lot better and not finding myself running after the dog. I'm hoping with few more weeks of training, other members of our family can start enjoying taking her for walks. If not, I already got a shock collar, hoping it doesnt come to that.

Works great
I got this to aid in training my dog not to pull when walking. It is working great and only requires a few tugs at the beginning of our walk and she realizes it’s not worth it to pull on the leash. I only use it while on our walk which is about 45 each day and it comes off as soon as we are back home. I like that it came with rubber tips on the prongs but you can remove them if you want. It also came with an extra link you can add if you need it a little bigger. It’s pretty easy to add or remove links by just slinding the links apart at the prong side and sliding them back together. The links do stay together also so no worry of it just coming apart and falling off. Recommended

No instructions
Got this for my Great Dane. While I would have loved to use it I can’t figure out how to add the links that I need in order to get it around my dogs big head. No instructions came with it. The whistle does work well.

First calm walk I've ever had
Every dog is unique. Our poodle is nearly perfectly behaved but her only quirk is she pulls on her leash like a wild kite. Full force, no particular direction. If you chain her to a solid object she will run full tilt till the leash yanks her 180 onto her back and when she gets up she will pick a random direction and do it again. When she tires of that she will dig her feet into the ground and inch forward as far as possible until she is choking and frothing at the mouth.I've never had a dog behave this way before and haven't been able to train her out of it. We tried harnesses but she pulls soo hard they cut into her skin. We tried a pinch collar. That did help a tiny bit but chafed her and pulls hair. Ultimately we never tie her to anything and rarely take her for walks. This was our last resort as the prong collars look a little scary, even with the plastic tips, but once she had it on and she tried extending to the end of her leash she stopped. I just had my first normal walk with her. It's obviously a bit uncomfortable when she occasionally pulls too far as she will stop and shake but she isn't hurting herself as she has with everything else.[*Update: My dog has gotten so used to this collar that I can invert it so the spikes point out instead and she still won’t pull. Put her on her slip leash and she’s off to the races but she knows this collar means leave some slack.]

Great pet collar!
I was afraid to use this at first but it is amazing. It stops your pet from running or jumping on people. It comes with protective tips on the spikes which we left on. Works wonders. Would definitely purchase again.

It Works!!!!
I adopted an 8 month old American Bully. After 3 weeks of pulling I decided to try the spike collar...I have tried treats and repetitive correction-love method, neither of them worked. Our outings got shorter as she just kept pulling. Going forward...once I put the collar on her, it was like I had a brand new puppy...now we do 30mins + enjoyable walks. The only thing I didn't like was how to unlatch and attach the links. I guess it expected it to be a little bit more user friendly.I'm sure I'll get use to

Works Great, Arrived Quickly
This worked right away, as soon as I tried it. I have a black Labrador Retriever, she's about 70 lbs, and she was pulling so hard I felt like my arm would come off. Nothing worked, she would not stop pulling, especially if there were distractions. I was apprehensive this would work, but it worked right away. Like other reviewers I did find it hard to adjust the links because it requires a strong grip, but it's worth it. I was able to walk with my dog by my side the first day. She pulls very little now, if at all, and not as quick to run forward without you. Because of this I can bring my kids now for a walk without having to worry about my dog taking my attention by suddenly pulling. Highly recommend.
