Awesome purchase. Wanted my old Henckels knife block off my counter but love my Henckles knives. I was worried about the magnet not being strong enough to hood my knives but it works fine. The sharpener wouldnt hold but it's round and thick and frankly I don't care. Very satisfied with my purchase, would buy again. Oh, the wood seems to be if nice quality too. It did have a strange smell when I opened it, kind of industrial plastic scent, not enough to deter my liking. Hope the picture helps!

It is a very attractive knife strip, but the magnet is too weak to hold large knives reliably. This makes the knife strip a safety hazard.Paring knives work great. But I had to place my chef's knives upside down (pointing down) so they wouldn't fall off. Then my mom came over and switched them the "right" way, and my biggest knife dropped down behind my stove, where our gas line is. Not happy. None of my knives are even that heavy!I'll probably switch out the knife strip for a new one soon. Unless you're just storing little knives, I would not recommend.

The product I received is a completely different color than what's pictured and looks like yellow stained oak, as such is clashes terribly with my kitchen and I'm returning it. I did test it, and it does have a nice, strong magnet, but it looked so bad that it's not worth keeping. The entire point of buying this item was to look nicer than what I can get at any grocery store, but when I receive something that looks totally different, that's not really feasible. I'm very disappointed. I do understand that wood is not universal, but there is no part of what I received that looks like what's pictured. If you don't care what it looks like, the quality seems fine, but if you're buying this because you need the Walnut look, save your time and look elsewhere.

The rack does not hold my smallest knives with The handles down as the knives slide off. Be sure to test ALL the knives you intend to hang, not just the big ones. Even though the installation is very straight forward it was a real PITA getting the screw heads into the keyhole slots (and my measurements/placement of the screws was NOT the issue). The item received was obviously used. The original box had been ripped open and the item was scratched on both sides. I kept the item only because I just moved in and really need the storage space.

I love this knife holder! I used 3m double sized tape to hang and it has been hanging up for several days with no issues. I even tried to pull away from my back splash and there was no budging it. Just hope I don't need to remove because I will have to research that :) I have Wusthof knives, utility scissors, honing steel, etc. covering the entire block so the magnetic is continous. The piece is heavy and the quality is exceptional. I love having the extra counter space. Purchase one you will not be disappointed!

The look of the product is fine. The magnets are not as strong as my original mag block I bought over 4 years ago but the are sufficiently strong to hold average kitchen knives in a vertical position but will not hold my cleaver.The wood is of average quality but I do not like that it has a finish on it. It should be raw with an oil finish like a cutting board, less chance of trapping water between the blade and the block. I will likely sand it off and finish it with block oil myself.

If you are looking for a knife bar magnet for your kitchen, get this one. For the price it's the best I've found. Instead of drilling wholes into my wall, I just used some double sided 3M tape and attached it to my kitchen back splash. Works good, holds a decent amount of knives with no problems. Surprised how much it looks like wood, perfect for what I wanted.

I’ve had stainless steel in the past, but really wanted something that wouldn’t scratch my knives and this definitely fit the bill. It’s definitely long so make sure you have room. It’s a beautiful addition to our kitchen. The only thing I didn’t care about is the slot mount. I’ve never been a fan of screw and slot types of mounting. Wish it had been made with a different mounting system.

I enjoy looking at the magnetic strip and my knives in order and accessible any minute. Good product, I am happy with it.

I had one where the magnets were on the outside. I thought this was a nice-looking alternative. Wrong! Even my relatively light 8" santoku knife slid off. If all your knives are very lightweight and the blades are absolutely flat, it might work for you. I had to pay $24 to return it to the USA. Still, over a month later, I haven't seen any form of refund. :(
