Quiet, Comfort, Quality: My Take on the Bose QC Ultra
The Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones deliver a very strong performance in noise cancellation — thanks to their advanced ANC system and 8-microphone setup, they effectively block out ambient noise so you can fully immerse in your music. Sound quality is naturally balanced and clear, supported by Bose’s CustomTune technology which tailors the audio to your ears for a personalized listening experience. The immersive “Immersion” mode really elevates spatial audio: in “Still,” the sound stays fixed in space, while “Motion” makes it feel like it's following you. Comfort-wise, the over-ear design uses soft, plush materials that feel very gentle, even during long walks or flights. The headphones weigh only 0.25 kg, making them lightweight for over-ear ANC. Battery life is pretty solid, with up to 24 hours in Quiet/Aware mode and around 18 hours if you use the immersive spatial audio. They also support a 15-minute quick charge, giving you about 2 hours of playback. On the software side, the Bose app lets you customize EQ, change between modes (Quiet, Aware, Immersion), and define your own audio presets. Plus, Bluetooth Multipoint is a nice touch: you can connect the headphones to two devices at once and switch seamlessly. These are excellent premium noise-cancelling headphones that shine when you want serious sound isolation, comfort, and immersive audio. If you need long battery life as a top priority, there might be better options — but for ANC quality and build comfort, the QC Ultra is hard to beat.

Great headphones
Great headphones as expected. Coming from the QC 35 II there is a noticeable difference in noise cancelling. The cushions might not be as plush and soft as on the QC, but the diameter is bigger so they better fit around my ears. I just wished for a few more buttons to control the headphones as I find it easier than by touching.

Good sound and comfortable
After using many headphones i finally settled on these, good sound profile and comfort, with best in class ANC.

Worst Bose Headphones in a decade.
After 10 years or so of Bose Quietcomfort Headphones, no more. These are absolute trash. They keep turning off all the time (yes, I did all the trouble shooting, all the settings are correct, and they just can not stay on. Embarrassing and frustrating.

Bose is Bose
Moved from AirPods Max to Bose QC Ultra! Despite being the Apple user, I do not regret switching to Bose. The sound is incredible. The headphones are very light and super comfortable to wear. Battery life is not the best on the market but I don’t usually use headphones more than 4 hours a day, so it’s okay for me. Just the sound and noise cancellation are the things that were important to me. Bose does not disappoint! 👍👍👍

Disappointed :(
So, I bought this headset after testing in Bose official store. Quick Resume: Skip it. It doesn’t cost the price they are asking on release. Long version: Pros: 1) Neutral sound profile, compare to Sony Wh-1000xm2 & 3 (Sony are more bass heavy). And I bought Bose to try something better. If it sounds different, it doesn’t mean it worse than something. Just different and I liked it, even if I still prefer bass profile. 2) You can connect them to PC via Bluetooth, and it will recognize its microphones (about mic quality later) 3) They are lighter than sony’s series, it fits easier. After almost 8h wearing it, not feeling tiered or pressure around the ears like it is with sony 4) Bose app provides great flexibility. You can switch off the noise cancellation completely by adding 4-th ANC profile (that was not available in QC 45) and ask headsets to recognize the last choice. Manage multi-connection (that works horrible), audio settings like spatial audio and even announcements. 5) Like the default case :) Cons: 1) Build quality. Full plastic and semi glossy. Say hello to all your fingerprints on black coloured model. You may hear a creaking or slight cracking sound when folding or fitting on your head. And it’s SO HEAVY to adjust the ear-cups position, it’s so tight that you always have to use both hands. And there is no tactile feedback when you're adjusting the headsets, unlike the QC/QC 45/xm3&4 2) Battery life. Not even close to Sony. With spatial audio ~14 h, without ~22 3) It doesn’t support inline mic cables (you have to buy it separately), if you were planning to connect them via wired to PC/console/phone and use better mic. At the same time, new quiet comfort (not ultra) has it in the box. Why you made such decision, Bose? And in general, mic’s record quality is really poor. Every over-ear ANC headsets have this problem. But with such price… :/ 4) Auto pause setting. Bose app allows you to switch it off, and I did it, but my headset has been still stopping the audio from single device connection. Whether it was iOS or android device. That’s very strange behaviour and it’s so annoying. Might be Bose Firmware, but it was showing up to date in application. The same even happened in the Boss store, but seller told me it’s due to device it’s connected to (store iPad) and overwhelming of connected devices. 5) The worst thing I mentioned. Headsets have to be charged to use it via wire (e.g. with PC). WHAT?! Really? I have to plug charging cable from one side, audio 2.5 to 3.5 from other one. What is going on? 6) Passive noise cancellation, worse than Sony. Active one, better than QC 45, worse than Sony (xm4) again. 7) Spatial audio. It's not the selling feature of these headsets. Not every music genre is “compatible”, sometimes it makes worse. Just to play few time for few hours. Not really negative point, but it was the marketing ad. Here is the truth. 8) Sensor action button. It has Very notable delay. You slide once from bot to the top to increase the volume, and it will reflect with 1,5-2,5 seconds delay. Very uncomfortable. Better they would keep that clicky buttons. 9) AptX Adaptive was not available. 10) Sometime I start hearing click-sound in from left speaker and ANC start working only for LEFT ear cup. Mystic/bug. Resume: I was planning to switch the headsets, that can be universal for day to day use and a little gaming (not competitive). But poor mic quality, with lack of inline mic cable support, general item quality, the worst battery life make it impossible to use it with PC. That annoying disconnection and auto-pause killed any wish to buy their current generation headsets. Even so, they have different sound profile I liked, weight and app flexibility can’t make you happy or enjoy the new purchase. Actions made: Returned.
