Whiplash Poster is a "Hit" with My Drummer Friend
The media could not be loaded. I play in a band with a drummer who is very intense and jazz-oriented. Several months ago, he showed me the movie "Whiplash" - right before we played a show. That movie was triggering for me and having that in my head right before a show was really way too much tension! Several shows later, of course, I've gotten over it. But I was excited to see this poster on Amazon. I brought it to our band's practice space. Even though I myself didn't like the poster design, our drummer was very into it. You can see how into it he is in the video I attached. I discuss my poster design criticisms in the video, however, my criticisms are pointless because the person who the gift was meant for was very happy with it and didn't agree with my criticisms.
