Nalley Chili, Cheese, 14 Ounce (Pack of 24)

3.5 Stars. My favorite Nalley Chili flavor. Nalley Chili is like the Taco Bell of chili: well-seasoned, but nothing to write home about in the texture department. Still, better than Dennison's chili, which has the consistency of wet dog food, and Stagg chili, which just doesn't agree with me for some reason. Nalley Chili is the most soup-sauce like chili I've tried: the ground beef is in teeny tiny chunks (practically pureed) and the beans don't have a very strong presence. It's the artificial flavoring that make it decent. Personally, I'm a much bigger fan of Trader Joe's chili, which has a main ingredient of tomatoes (instead of water, and adding flavoring to give it the chili flavor), and the texture hits the nail on the head in terms of meat chunk size and bean choice. But if texture and ingredients weren't a factor at all, and taste was all that mattered, this Nalley chili would probably come out on top.
