This really is a brilliant product. Pretty straightforward to fit and solid when in place. The mechanism is perfectly balanced so opening and closing is both predictable and easy. The size of the door - hence hole to climb through - is just the right size to get larger items into the loft. Everybody who has seen it says it's the best loft ladder they have seen! Would completely recommend it.

I bought this in April thinking it would be a quick weekend job but due to the size and some awkward joists in the loft I procrastinated all year. Finally had it fitted (by a professional) last week (December) and I’m very pleased with the result. It is sturdy, solid and makes getting in and out of the loft so much easier. It’s a shame it took my wife falling out with the old set up to make the change!!

Very frustrating that the dimensions on the listing are varied and inaccurate. The one very clear answer to the question of size was “the hole in your ceiling needs to be 58cm”That’s wrong, hopefully this review will help people know what the actual size is

Added a safe and easy way for loft space for those items that needed to be stored out of seasonal use with safe and easy access..I took a round 3-4 hrs (I am not a joiner) to install.All you have to do is check the physical size on the frame for the ladders and select a point in the roof you want to install the new ladder system.Once selected, cut the roof and fit the frame, with out the ladders in situ.Fit the trim, which is included and then attach the ladders. Should be a sound and draft proof closure.Theses are the second set I have fitted and if you are handy with hands should be a wall in the park.I only had one issue and the manufacture was contacted but they were not the most helpful as I was told that the TB Davies LuxFold Wooden Loft Ladders are made of exclusive sale via amazon and therefore you need to contact them.

There is no mention of the overall dimensions of the ceiling opening required. Under description the only dimensions mentioned are 125x125x65cm.Surely this does not relate to the ceiling opening! A square opening with a depth of 65cm? Could the sellers advise of the ceiling opening dimensions that is required for this ladder?

The product was dilivered by the supplier. The packaging was very marginal and could cause major damage to the product. Mine arrived with marginal scuffs. I was worried about the ladder door alignment but after instalation and some use it was able to provide a tight closing seal.Overall, the bulb quality looks good, it definitely looks prettier.The instructions manual is not easy to follow.I would recommend searching for similar products installation videos on YouTube.Lowered one star on sturdiness as the supplied pole (to open the door) doesn't feel strong enough to push the door back and might bend soon.

Cutting joists and re-framing was the hardest part to fitting this ladder! I disassembled the kit as provided and fitted the new frame to my new joist arrangement from steps as access to one side is limited. This worked fine and I have to find somewhere else to hide presents as everyone can get in the loft easily now!

Looked excellent quality but I had to send it back as I ordered the wrong size. Totally my fault and they handled the return well
