Best use of £3
Cheap as chips replacement for my worn out one, and came with the right Jubilee clip. Fitted on my old air hose just fine with no air leaks, and has been used to top up four tyres most weekends for the last six months with no signs of wear. the thumb catch it smooth and easy enough to operate one handed and makes a really good connection with the valve; this has two effects. When attaching and detaching the connector to the tyre valve you lose a lot of air, however this stops as soon and the thumb catch is deployed, but you have to be quick. On the plus side this makes it easy to inflate tyres with a foot pump as it offers very little resistance to the air. One of the best things I've bought for £3 in a while and iof it were to break tomorrow I would just order another one right up.

Very poor standard
It was cheap, but still not worth the money. I should have returned it but not worth the effort.

Repair an old tyre pump
How useful - my old tyre valve connector had broken and this is an easy replacement. Now my expensive tyre pump is useable again. The thumb lock can be hard to snap shut but all that means is the connector is pushed too far on to the valve - easily sorted.

After reading the reviews - thanks, folks - ordered two of these metal cased valves, one to replace a broken (and fragile) plastic valve on a perfectly serviceable Michelin footpump - a classic case of spoiling the ship for a ha'p'th of tar with an otherwise very good pump - the other to replace the (fiddly, thus irritating) screw-in type valve on an electric air pump carried in the car.The footpump was restored earlier today, literally in a few 5 minutes, to full working order again: I'm about to change the valve on the electric pump, which should make it much easier/quicker to use if needed. Some review questioners asked whether hose clamps are included. Yes, they were with my purchase, which makes it really outstanding value.An additional bonus: arrived after only two days. Excellent.

Included all the bits to fit
Just cut off the old valve from the pump hose and fitted the new one on. A 10min job.
