I recently relocated back to RI - this book is a treasure!
This book s a must have for those who like to hike and rediscover familiar places and acquire more in-depth historical knowledge about surrounding areas, preserves, trails, etc. RI has an amazing coastline and protected seaside locations that are detailed in this book. The author really speaks to those who want to wander and explore this wonderful little state. This makes an excellent gift or a personal resource you will use for many years.

Great collection of hikes for all ages
This is a great collection of hikes. Accurate description and good maps. We’ve done three hikes and hope to do many more over the winter.

I'm sure my son and his wife will love this
I haven't read it, but it looks to be excellent and very up-to-date. I thought it was a little pricy, but it's quite comprehensive and well organized.

OK content - Terrible layout - Boring B&W photos
Eh! While the 40 hike contents are fine, there could easily be more in the eastern side of the state. Page layout is boring, prose style is tedious; ever heard of bullet points? Could do without the first person narrative too.Terrible, low-res cover photo, obviously from an old phone. All of the photos inside the book are black and white and of mediocre quality - very uninspiring! Color doesn't cost that much more and people would probably pay more for an inspiring, professionally photographed book of this type. Last but not least, the binding quality doesn't look like it'll last very long...but maybe it will because after you buy this book, it'll probably just sit on the shelf forever!
