While the effect and brightness are fine, the control leaves a lot to be desired. When you turn the light off, whether by remote control or by unplugging or switching off, it doesn't "remember" the last mode it was in. For example, in my application, I just wanted a slow rotation blue all the time, but when the unit is powered back on after turning off, it comes on on the mode that switches between all the various colors, and at its top speed. This means that as soon as the remote control is misplaced, this will become useless to me.

Awesome light. Has the best colors and has a nice movement to it. Flashing feature is great. Would definitely buy this again.
