Amazing for recovery
Works great for my sore joints from training Jiu Jitsu… I just had an almost gout/arthritis flare up in my toe after a rough training session and a lot of walking in the city… So I spent the day with this on and off my toe and it was totally averted.

A solid option—as someone who’s used a variety of RLT/NIR; one somewhat defective.
The media could not be loaded. ETA: See video. I noticed on day two that the lights were turning themselves on and off during a session. It did that three days in a row and then behaved itself for two weeks and then started malfunctioning again (with all connections flush). So I returned it for replacement. However, I do like this unit and will even purchase a second one.Original review:I am no stranger to red light and infrared therapy. Unfortunately, in my experience so far, these wraparound devices tend to have a short lifespan. But as a result, I can compare different brands and models. This site really should make me a freebie contributor ;).I use light therapy to assist with various tendon issues, to combat arthritis, and to stimulate mitochondria and stem cells in key areas of the body as someone disabled with a severe chronic illness. If you want to treat one time sudden injuries, you may prefer cold laser therapy, such as b-cure (if you can afford it!) or red lasers if you can handle getting super hot. But for treating a variety of chronic conditions that have broader treatment areas, RLT/NIR is going to be more convenient, particularly as these types of conditions require considerable perseverance in a treatment regimen.PROS:Offhand, there are a number of features to commend this wrap over some others. For the potency of lights received and the number of settings available, this is much cheaper than some competitors with similar models. Also, there are tremendous variations in the amount of heat retained by the fabric of any given brand’s light pad, making it virtually impossible to use some brands for full sessions at full power. This light pad has four power settings, the top one of which seems to actually penetrate more than one of my more expensive pads, yet this one does not get as hot as some of my more expensive pads get. For people who are looking for a heating pad, this pad is NOT what you want (but it’s a waste of an investment to use RLT/NIR primarily as a heating pad, anyhow; I just see people doing so often). But for people who respond well to powerful light settings against their bare skin, the low heat retention of this material is a great bonus. Finally, although not super long, the cord on this pad is more generous in length than cords I’ve received for similar pads. That would be of much value for anyone whose seating is not immediately next to an outlet.BOTH A PRO AND CON:Theoretically, it is a bonus to have the plastic slip cover that goes over the pad to block one’s sweat, even if it is, well, sticky plastic. Unfortunately, the corners that are supposed to hold the plastic in place really needs a deeper envelope sort of design. Additionally, the plastic sleeve on my pad came quite cloudy-looking covered with white powdery residue. As someone who needs to treat my feet and my head regularly (and who has particularly stinky hair oil when my hair needs washing), I am nonetheless pleased to have this feature to play with. This cover also helps to ensure you don't burn your skin (although the heat level of this pad is far more user friendly than some to begin with).CONS:On the con side, this is bulkier than some pads, both in the pad itself and in the adapter, if that matters to you for storage. The settings do not hold between sessions, and must be selected in every particular each time anew. But if you use the pads frequently and do not have severe cognitive incapacities, you will adjust to this very quickly. You only have one pulsing frequency to select from; some RLT/NIR users are accustomed to applying different pulses for different health conditions. But the pulse option offered is actually the one that I would most often wish to use. Besides, there aren’t that many pads out there that offer more of these options, and to my knowledge, they are all more expensive.I have chemical sensitivities, and the pad did come with an initial odor, which none of my similar devices have; however, it has dissipated extremely quickly. Finally, as I Indicated before, the plastic cover could really use refining and should not come covered in powder.____My slightly defective model was easily returned using Amazon returns, and the replacement unit seems to be doing swimmingly. What remains to be seen is longevity and how customer support responds to issues of longevity within their apparent guarantee window. But I am happy that I tried this. It seems like it will give me the most vital features at the best price point.

Easy to use AND WORKS!
Hubby and I have knee pains and leg aches from overworking and this is awesome. So easy to use! Read up on this concept called RED LUGHT THERAPY, this model had everything we learned about! It has both levels of lights and 4 levels of intensity! Plus the pulsating if you want. (Supposedly best for penetration) we really like this product!

Great for back pain.
I’ve found red light therapy really helps; I have other devices, but this one is easiest for occasional back pain as I can use it while sitting.Update: 7 mos later and half the lights don’t work now.

Not working anymore
I love this product but I’ve had it a few months and it’s not working like it used to. The lights aren’t bright and it’s not getting warm. The product should last longer than a few months.I would give it 5 stars if it lasted :(
