I bought the candle as a gift to myself and am really pleased with it. The wooden wick burns slowly and creates an interesting flame. The sandlewood fragrance is beautiful and I love the black wax, it's a mysterious deep colour. I have read some of the other reviews - personally I like the simplicity of this product, points for no wasted plastic packaging. But if you do want to give it to someone as a gift you could always wrap it? Speedy delivery too.

This candle has a great aromatic scent. I’m really pleased with it. It’s a really nice minimal design with an unusual wide wooden wick that burns an attractive flame. The candle is really good value for a large size and should easily last the 40 + hours that is described. It’s a nice addition to my bathroom. I’ll be trying the other scents in the future too !

Always a gamble with candles. This one was a waste of money with no aroma whatsoever. Perhaps proof that one needs to spend more to get something decent.

I liked the size of the candle and the wick. I have not used the candle yet.

Brilliant smell, makes a lovely smell around the home even when it’s not being burnt

No flame just smouldering sticks had to get rid of a half inch of wax to try and re-light it but much the same

The wax is not hard its extremely soft, the wick takes sometimes 6 attempts to get it going, the wax keeps putting the flame out and I've tipped most of the wax away so i can keep it burning, waste of £8 whatever, dont waste your money rubbish
