Norpro 5-Inch Ceramic Garlic Keeper

After purchasing several containers for my garlic, from hand made to....... However, the final defeat came about after dedicated attempt at creating my own.........which served me fairly well until my son 'disinfected' the countertop with a "will kill anything' spray. Yes, it 'melted' the paint on my pot. After several months of grieving, I unexpectedly saw this sweet item. Apparently I had not completely lost faith, so got out my ruler and measured and remeasured. Yes, it was larger than others. It looked good - on the screen, that is. I have endured the quagmires of the pits of garlic pot nightmares, so why not try one more time. This beautiful well made container is my reward and I could not ask for a more efficient design. The glaze is smooth w/o any apparent pitting or rough areas. The colors are consistent and well balanced. To me it has a rather vintage appearance which harmonizes with everything. I have found the value of this container to be far above any others I have purchased. And this delightful container can hold many full heads of garlic (not the usual 3 which has been my experience). Even though the interior is fully glazed I have experienced no difficulty with mold, so apparently all is breathing well And yes, my son has been informed I will be responsible for sanitizing the counters - until I cross the Bridge. .

I do absolutely love this Garlic Keeper and I just got it today! I gave this purchase 5 stars because it is nice and large and can hold far more then my last one which is a bonus. It is also beautiful and looks great on my counter. Functional, nice looking and 2 day delivery from my order date definitely qualifies it for 5 stars. There is just one little thing I didn't like and was going to deduct 1/2 star for it but I decided to just accept it and be careful. It is just a tad difficult to grab the little knob on the lid because there isn't a lot of room for my big, fat fingers to grab. This may not be a problem for others that don't have large hands with fat fingers so I didn't think it was fair to hold that against this product. I just have to be careful to not let it slip out of my fingers when I take it off. I would absolutely recommend this product to all serious cooks out there because it is a very useful and beautiful tool to have on your counter.

This is a larger garlic keeper that will hold multiple garlic heads. The aesthetic is simple and it would be easy to clean.The one I received was broken. If the size suited my needs I would have taken a chance on a replacement order but instead I’ll be looking for something smaller.

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box to reveal a beautifully crafted garlic keeper. Though most reviewers said it was larger than expected i still was surprised at the size. It is perfect! Holds several heads of garlic and is pretty enough to keep on a shelf in your kitchen or in the pantry. I love it and I am glad I bought 2. One is to be gifted and I know the recipient will love it as much as I do. Why wouldn't they?. It is beautiful and practical which is a win win anyway you slice it.

It came on time. Packed securely in its own box. It is large and holds a pre-packaged bag from the grocery store that holds many buds. It is perfect. I separated each individual clove and removed excess loose cover like papers. It filled the pot 80%. Very roomy and very easy to remove cloves of garlic....I placed in my hall cupboard I use as a pantry and not for towels...This item works great for storing garlic. The garlic is still fresh after being in the cupboard for months.

I use a lot of garlic and prefer the cloves but I can't run to the store every time I need some so I usually buy three heads at a time. Unfortunately, it would go bad before I could use it up so I purchased the Norpro Garlic Keeper. It has saved me money by keeping my garlic usable for a long time. It is also a pretty addition to my kitchen counter and a conversation piece to those who see it. I'm very happy with this garlic keeper and suggest that anyone who cooks with a lot of garlic and has trouble keeping it fresh to purchase it. It's money well spent.

This is a realistic size for anyone that uses garlic often in their cooking. I found a lot of garlic keepers to hold no more than 2 bulbs but I managed to fit about 4 big ones with space to spare. Love it.
