glass cracks
I have bought 4 of these, 2 have cracked and let in water. in fairness they did replace 1 and I am discussing the second one!

Sealed bulb failed with water ingress over the winter months.
Loved it originally as the Cool White LED light looked amazing at night during summer 2018. (Bought July 2018)Limited night time use during 2019 season but when we went to use this summer during lockdown noted bulb was full of water and LED flickered, failed and is unsafe.Would like to buy a new Cool White LED suitable for Certikin PU9 housing but not sure from where, as Amazon reviews show that they seem more likely to fail with water getting inside.Must consider going back to getting a Certikin 300 watts replacement for my PU9 to play safe as it lasted for ever, although price is prohibitive for using old technology stock. Would Amazon COOLWEST supplier consider sending me a replacement?

Lamp broke because of low temperatures
The lamp broke during the first winter. The glass got a crack and water got in to the lamp. Don’t buy this lamp if you lite in a country that gets temperatures below freezing.

Superbe luminosité
En remplacement ampoule 300 watts montée en 1982. Incomparable en luminosité et couleur. La lumière est tres blanche du plus bel effet sur ma mosaïque camaïeu blanc/ bleu. Rien à voir avec la lumière jaunâtre de l’halogène. Se monte très facilement dans le logement. Géniale alimentation possible en 12 volts alternatifs, ou continu sans polarité imposée.Prix canon et envoi super rapide. Si elle dure aussi longtemps que la précédente, on frise la perfection !

Sehr gute Möglichkeit Strom zu sparen
Die Lampe passte beim genau. Die Birne wirft ein sehr schönes helles Licht ab. Es entspricht sicherlich der alten Halogenlampe. Wer es etwas dunkler mag, wähle eine niedrigere Stärke. Das Cool-White ist ein wenig gewöhnungsbedürftig. Das Licht einer Halogenbirne ist warmweiss. Daran ist man gewöhnt. Es gibt allerdings keinen Lichtstrahl mehr im Pool. dieser ist nun gleichmäßig ausgeleuchtet.
