MATHMOSNeo Lava Lamp for Children and Adults in Copper - Turquoise/Blue

MATHMOS aren't cheap but the quality is top notch as usual. I had a classic design way back, but this new design looks great and stays cooler to touch. It is very sturdy as the whole thing is one unit when assembled (on the older design the base, cap and bottle are separate so easier to fall apart if knocked). Regarding being cooler to the touch, it does seem like it takes longer to heat up and get going than the other design particularly if the room is cold, but it definitely gets there and works fine when going.

I’m going to be a little more critical since this lamp did cost £18 shy of £100. It’s BEAUTIFUL. The yellow/orange version gives of this warm amber light and sometimes I just catch myself staring at the lava for a good few minutes. The design is super unique and gives that retro-future look that I love. It comes with two plugs which is UK and the other is EU. Easy to assemble, and arrived in very nice packaging.My only qualm is that the plug is SUPER BULKY. Additionally my lamp came with the plastic cover covered in yellow wax. The actual lamp was fine and clean and not leaking at all so I’m not sure why. Additionally I’ve used it for about a week or 2 and the orange lava seems to be stuck to the top and some of the sides of the bottle. I try not to keep it on longer than 6 hours like advised. I’m not sure if it’s normal and it may be because my room is not the right temperature for it but everything works fine. It’s also very safe. Doesn’t get too hot, you can touch it quite comfortably (don’t move it when it’s on). Please do read the manual when you get it tho, you learn a lot about how to care for a lava lamp and make it last longer. All in all it’s beautiful and I like how it’s sleek, the perfect amount of mood lighting and the logo is not obnoxious.EDIT: I found out that the lava wasn’t flowing properly because it was I front of my fan. When I turned my fan off the lava flowed well so ignore this. It’s great. 5 stars deserves :)

We bought this primarily for our young daughter who has difficulties with sensory regulation - a lava lamp was suggested to helpb as part of this. I looked at, yes, there are much cheaper ones but my husband had a Mathmos one many years ago and the reviews looked great. I have to say everyone in the house loves this lava lamp, it's a gorgeous design, it's really well constructed out of solid materials and definitely helps with the sensory regulation. Love it and so happy I went for it.

Have loved Mathmos lava lamps since I was a kid and still do. This one was purchased for my daughter. The colours are great and the design very good. I did drop a star in the review due to the plastic coating around the bottle. The plastic coating is very prone to scratches and was easily scratched when assembling and cleaning. Well aware of the safety purpose of the coating but can see it getting scratched more over time. If you don’t like this then, you can get another design without the fragile plastic coating but the reason I got this is for the safety that the bottle is shatter proof and my daughter. Apart from this, very happy with the product and highly recommend for the younger ones.

Quality,yes,the best. I do have this lamp in 60's design for 4 years and still works without any issues.This lamp looks better, better put togetherAmazon sent the wrong colour, i called Mathmos and they sent the right product next day.Great company to deal with,they don't mess about, they really care for their customers

We bought this for our son to go in his new office. The styling is outstanding as are the colours. He is chuffed to bits with it. I think we might be getting our own soon.

This lamp is very good quality (solid & strong). We set it up at Christmas and it was very clear to see the lava. You have to be patient as per the instructions, particularly the first time. It's carefully packaged in an attractive box. (We bought a cheap lamp before and it was poorly made, flimsy and not legal nor compatible with British electrics.) I have absolute confidence in a Mathmos lamp.

Received the lamp the next day even though Amazon said it would take a couple of days. After assembling it I turned it on and waited for the lamp to start functioning after a couple of hours the lava was stuck at the bottom not moving. Over the weekend I moved it to different rooms to see if this would change in the result.After contacting Mathmos they sent me a replacement the next day. The lamp works now and considering getting some more. They are quite pricey but you are definitely getting what you’re paying for.My only criticism with the lamp is the design, which is beautiful and stylish don't get me wrong, however when facing the lamp directly the arm piece which connects to the base fixing it in place, causes the bottle to look cloudy and not transparent as it should. But when it has been on and flowing this is not an issue.

c'est pas donné mais la qualité est présente. La mise en route à était plus longue que décrite, mais maintenant cela donne une superbe ambiance. Super idée de cadeau, je recommande

Lampe décorative idéale comme cadeau. En revanche le livreur UPS ne m'a pas appelé alors que je suis chez moi étant à la retraite. Il m'a laissé un avis de passage avec une adresse illisible dans ma boîte aux lettres.En revanche la personne d'Amazon au téléphone m'a très bien renseigné et j'ai pu récupérer mon colis au point relais qu'il m'a indiqué. J'ai du faire 6 km aller retour en voiture alors que j'étais chez moi. UPS pas sérieux.CordialementG. GASQUET
