I broke a few nailing in. But found to be better when I chose the wood placement differently. They have been up for 1 day. Many compliments !

I’m obsessed!
Before I begin: they rust! Spray them with polyurethane for exterior use.I’ve ordered several packs as I’m obsessed. They really take the decor up a notch! I put them on my shutters, fence, porch and will be trimming my fireplace.I find the punch-ins easier that the tedious screw-ins. Use a rubber mallet.
