Did not care for the book. I kept waiting for it to get better but it never did.

An interesting take on relationships, society and the quirky side of Florida with an intersting mix of personalities.

Boggs sends up MFA culture, for-profit education, and evangelism without throwing any of her richly drawn characters under the bus (well, except for the corporate stooges, who probably deserve it). This is a wonderfully entertaining novel by a writer who clearly cares about literature and people -- warts and all.

Not quite as funny or insightful as the book reviews claimed.
