Easy to use, strong and secure for fixings
Bought these to fix metal footings for fence posts into the top of a wall, for an existing fence that took a battering from recent gales. Took a bit of research to make sure I used the correct drill bit size (tip: itโs 8mm for an M8) so that the bolts would grip into the bricks like they are designed to do. I used a ratchet to screw the bolts into the bricks, this gives the torque needed to carve the thread into the bricks and actually was quite easy to do. Another tip is to make sure you keep the drill straight when drilling the hole and make sure the bolt is straight as it starts to screw in, otherwise it can be a bit stiff. I was worried the bolts might split the bricks, but all went ok and they worked just as they should. Nice and sturdy, and the fixings mean our fence posts are securely fixed now. Would definitely recommend thunderbolts, easy to use and strong.

Perfect!
Exactly what I needed to attach a new gate post to a brick wall. Easy to install, just drill a slightly smaller hole than the bolt and ratchet it in, I used 4, they worked perfectly for me! Great quality, speedy delivery and great price.

Tight grip, AND truly re-useable
Never tried these before although Iโve used many similar to bolt beams to brick. I wondered how well they would bite and if it would be too easy for their thread to strip the brick. I was also dubious about the re-use claims (heard that one too often). But hey presto, done the job of roofing over our patio, and when I had to remove a timber to recut, it went back up good and tight and no hint of thread stripping. Useful, recommended

Seem to work fine
Bought these as an alternative to anchor bolts for fixing a timber post to a brick wall - they seem to work fine and are a lot easier to fit as it's not quite so vital that the hole for the anchor bolt and the hole in the timber are 100% aligned - these bolts seem to bite into the brickwork ok and the fixing seems very tight and solid.

The best ever bolts.
These bolts are fantastic and so easy to use. Drill the hole the same size as the bolt diameter but give them a decent depth because you can't always get all the dust out of your hole you have just drilled. Use a spanner or a socket to drive them and it's as easy as that.
