Finetec Artist Mica Watercolour M770 Candy by Set

Tested 3 colors (see pic 2) - the gold color is sooooo good Ah the best metallic/pearl watercolor I ever used so far (I didn't use many haha but still ;) and it doesn't take 2min to activate it activates almost immediately with a water drop and the gold is really thick and glittering. Before using it I didn't really believe that one single laying could get those results in the other reviews haha but it's a single layer in the photo (and I didn't wait for it to be fully activated)The blue and silver are kind of dull, especially when not hit directly by the light. The blue doesn't look like blue at all when viewing from the front (more like a greenish gray). But the blue shines at a specific angle and the color is beautiful (much better than shown in the pic). I am considering getting the whole golden pan :D

Dense colors

Beautiful metallic watercolor paint. High quality! Easy to use. This is my first attempt to paint with watercolor.

I like the paints. Does require 3 mins with water before ready to paint. The gold is a vibrant metallic and easy to use. The silver is difficult to paint a solid section: goes in patchy. The orange, pink and apple green are nice. The peacock blue has a dark background to it so at some angles the paint looks more gray than blue. I recommend it if the silver and blue aren't important to you

I was a little hesitant to spend so much money for 6 colors but I wanted quality metallics, not runny or too sheer. I am so happy I invested! The colors are bold, the metallic sheen is beautiful and still the watercolor consistency I've been looking for. The trick to bold colors is to add a few drops of water to the pot of paint itself and mix the color directly rather than transferring the paint to another palette. Overall, very happy with the paint set!

I love everything about these paints! They are gorgeous, vibrant, strong or smooth and calm, and beautiful. Just a hint of glittery beauty or just plaster these colors on black canvas and paper!!!! Wow

These metallic paints are absolutely gorgeous and easy to work with. I paint small (3.5 x 2.5 inches) ACEO paintings, and like to enhance them with metallic and/or pearl paints. These photos probably don't show the details well, but I used these in the halos/crowns of my angel paintings, as well as their wings. (In person they are gorgeous). Will be ordering some other pallets soon.

Für mich ist der Artikel jeden Cent wert!Hohe Pigmentierung, SEHR ergiebig, tolle Farben und es macht wirklich Spaß hiermit Akzente in meiner Malerei zu setzen.Würde ich immer wieder kaufen.....

C’est la première palette Coliro que j’ai acquise en 2018, depuis j’en ai acheté 2 de plus ! En effets ces aquarelles ont un éclat que je trouve remarquable, elles sont miscibles entre elles, ne d’affadissement pas au soleil … bref, elles sont superbes pour la peinture comme la calligraphie. Je vous les recommande !

Pastiglie compatte da inumidire e lavorare per qualche istante con il pennello.Ottima coprenza, colori carini, neutri, non sgargianti (ad eccezione dell'oro).Effetto molto gradevole al variare dell'angolazione della luce.Difficili da correggere le sbavature poiché i pigmenti si legano subito alla carta a grana grossa.

The media could not be loaded.  Absolutely beautiful, bought these as a gift to myself. The paints are just lovely to watch. First you should wet the paints for a minute before use, as per instructions on Coliro's website. The paints then can be layered very thickly onto the paper, which produces an opaque metallic shine with great colour. You can also paint them as thin watercolour layers, where the colour is very muted but the shine looks great. One of the paints in this set is purely a "sparkle" paint, so there is little to no colour with it, it is just a silver sparkle paint "Stardust". See my pictures (the grey blob to the side is not part of this set). At the bottom I had some orangey cotman watercolour swatch testing, and I layered some of the "Stardust" paint over it to see how it would look. Cotman watercolours reactivate very very easily so you can see some lifting there, but the effect is still really nice if you wanted to paint as normal and then have some sparkle layers on top. This was tested on Bockingford cold press.A note that the blue especially can look somewhat grey in a thin layer, but in the light it comes up very blue again. I think these paints work best either applied as a thick layer, or probably as the final layer on top of a work painted with non-metallic paints.
