My husband though he had to always put the code in and then set it up.. you do not have to do that just put the three test strip and apply blood..Can’t say that it can predict a good for but it’s nice to see the progression…

After watching a few Dr. Perlmutter’s interviews about the importance to get and keep your Uric Acid level at or below 5.5 for optimal health, I decided purchase this UA monitoring device. I also purchased a bottle of 200 tablets of 500 mg capsules of Quercetin. After taking a baseline finger stick blood sample with a reading 13.3 and taking one tablet per day over the next three days and doing another finger stick sample my UA level dropped to 11.2. The regimen is working!!!!! So if I drop 2 points every three days I should reach my goal of 5.5 in 9 days!!! We’ll see. It may very but I’m optimistic with the progress so far.

After waiting for this to arrive on the slow boat from China for weeks it finally came. I set it up and it works but…it came with bad batteries so now I have to buy those before I can use it. It is annoying. Hoping the UA monitor proves to be a useful tool in fine tuning my health. Time will tell. Disappointed about the batteries.

I had my results backed up against lab tests and the numbers were exact. Inserting the test strips doesn't always make the tester activate, but a second insertion usually does.

Product was replaced without any issues

When I initially set up the device the chip that is used to match the device with the monitoring strips the small "circuit board" snapped in two. I contacted the manufacturer who quickly sent me a replacement. The monitor is easy to use and accurate.

This testing unit is fairly straightforward to use, and the readings appear to be consistent from test to test.However, I ran a test to compare it to bloodwork done by my healthcare provider (by having blood drawn at a clinic and the uric acid level determined by professionals).I did a test using this unit just before the blood draw, and it showed 9.8 mg/dL. I then got the blood drawn, and returned home. Then I did another test using this unit and it showed 10.2 mg/dL. These two test results were within .4 of each other, so that part is good.But, I got the results from the bloodwork, and it showed only 7.7 mg/dL. That's pretty far off from 9.8 or 10.2.Based on how far off the results are from a real uric acid test, I don't think this device can be reliably used for individuals to monitor their uric acid at home. Probably better to have real bloodwork done.Update: 2023/01/26I purchased a UASure II Uric Acid tester, and ran a comparison of this unit vs. the UASure unit.This unit gave me a score of 9.3 mg/dL while the UASure II gave me 6.4 mg/dL which was in line with the score I got from a formal blood test.My recommendation would be to go with the UA Sure II device, since it appears to be more reliable and the unit and technology come from a more reputable company/manufacturer.
