Spend time up front with them to make sure everything is good.
I recently purchased 6 of these for a project I am working on to replace some older Go Pro's that I have. Couple of issues, but ThiEye through amazon has been great about taking care of me on them.I had an issue with one of them immediately where it wouldn't power up completely, lights would flash, but it would never do anything else. ThiEye let me return that one right away. A second one while in the middle of production just stopped turning on all together, not really sure what happened, but again ThiEye let me return it no questions asked. The third one was locking up in the middle of recording, we had done all of the firmware updates and everything but it out of all of the camera's kept having issues. Again ThiEye took it back no questions asked. The other three cameras were rock solid, we were originally going to use them to shoot in 4k, but last min before filming we switched to 1080p @ 60 FPS. The quality is decent, you'll want to make sure you update the firmware. The color correction and lighting settings are important, my Go Pro's are far more forgiving in that aspect. In high light situations with the default settings our colors came out overly saturated, losing detail, make sure you are setting these settings in an appropriate way to what you are shooting. This is one place the Go Pro's will just work and give you more usable footage. All of that being said, if you are willing to take the time to learn how to use the camera, and take the steps to make sure you are getting decent footage, these are a great budget camera. I would also advise that you spend time shaking the camera down before you use it in a situation where you are relying on the footage. Doesn't hurt that you can buy 4 of them for every GoPro.

Very pleasing image quality, nice interface, sharp 4K but 1080p 60fps lacks in detail and soft (1080p 30 fps is better)
The media could not be loaded. It is very good for the price, nice colors and image stabilization. Battery life seems good, the interface is intuitive. I had a firmware update issue, and the company / customer service was very responsive.I like the warm color rendition, more pleasing than the other action cam I own (Hawkeye Firefly 8S 90 degrees). I like that it has in camera fisheye distortion correction to have straight horizons. The negatives are the fact that 1080p at 60fps does not look as good as 4K or 1080p 30fps. It looks compressed or somehow like upscaled 720p.I would probably give 4 stars because of this, but the customer service has been way more responsive than other companies so it evens out.The fact that 1080p 60 fps is crippled limits the slow motion abilities for the camera. In that case the Firefly 8S / 8SE are better, but the Thieye E7 is one of the very few budget cameras that offer true 4K that is stabilized (Firefly's 4K has no EIS / OIS stabilization).I really hope that Thieye can do a FW update that can improve the 1080p 60.In the water while snorkeling / freediving the LED that shows if the camera is recording could be brighter / larger but it is somehow visible. Also the type that shows what recording mode the camera is could be larger. That is an issue just in the waterproof case and while wearing a mask. The clips appear sharp.I would like also a low contrast mode (like GoPro protune etc). The power button needs a long press, it may be a pro or a con for different people. It prevents turning the camera on accidentally.Very good budget camera with some reserves. Price is very good. I used to have the Yi 4K but it was really hard to use it in the waterproof case without physical menu buttons. ThiEye E7 menu is very intuitive easy / quick to navigate even while in the water.I attach a video I took on July 31 208, mostly with the Thieye and a couple of clips from the Firefly 8S 90 above water.

Thieye E7 Great value for money!!
The media could not be loaded. I’m upgrading to ThieyeE7 from Thieye i60e (my first Action Cam which perform Very good). I decided to upgrade, since I had read that the new E7 is an excellent option instead of those pricey action cam.My first impression: Thieye E7 did perform pretty decent just out the box. It capture some amazing videos and picture even when in shaky moments. Videos are very stable since the camera include a 4K stabilization sensors that work perfectly.I love this camera, its videos are excellent. Later this month I’ll be posting more comments and videos to share with you my experience outside. For now my conclusion is that Thieye E7 is a great 4K action camera to look forward to.See picture and video that were taken in a cloudy environment.Pros:4k anti shakeGreat value for the money (a third part of price another Action cam)Remote controlled (not included)Mobile controlled through App (iOS and Android). Excellent option you can see the object in your mobile.Easy to useCompatible with many accessories for action cam.Con:Only 1 battery in the package.Remote not included.

Excelent Camera!
Bought this to replace my i60e. First thing I noticed was the battery door is on a hinge and can not be removed and lost like the i60e. It also has a lock so it won't open on you when it is out of the case. The battery is a slight upgrade from the 1050mAh of the i60e to 1100mAh. It's also a little thinner but taller and wider, so the older batteries will not fit. The camera body is actually about 1/8" slimmer but the lens protrudes a little more, making both clear cases about the same size. The menus and settings are a lot easier to use, although I haven't found the setting to invert the image for running it upside down. That is not a deal breaker as it can be fixed easily in post. The image quality of the 14mp Panasonic sensor is excellent. WiFi works as expected with my LG V20 Android phone. All in all an excellent action cam for the price. 5 stars!

The best budget action camera.
This is a tricky review. This camera is great for what it is. And it is a low cost gopro knock off. It takes great pictures and video. But it isn't on the same level as a $400 top of the line product. If you are on a budget you can't go wrong here.
