Review of 5 dry texture sprays
I have fine, thin hair. I have two kids now and I need to save time in the morning, so I was looking for products I could use to style my hair before bed that would last through the following day. I tried the following dry texture sprays, and my review is posted under each product: Moroccan Oil dry texture spray - This spray provides texture and all day hold. The spray is dry and comes out of the can with a lot of power. The smell is strong but nice. The Garnier dry texture spray is much cheaper and performs just as well if not better. I paid full price for this product. 4 stars Ouai dry texture spray - I tried a sample of this product at my local Sephora. The smell of this spray is so horrible that many people in the store complained when I sprayed it. It smells like embalming fluid mixed with decaying flowers. I don't remember how well the product performed because I was frantically trying to get the smell out of my hair. Just no. Zero stars Drybar dry texture spray - I tried a sample of this product at my local Sephora. The smell, texture, and hold were all fine. But it is more expensive than Moroccan Oil dry texture spray and the Garnier dry texture spray, and I felt that those products performed better. 3 stars Oribe dry texture spray - This product smelled the best. It held well in my hair during a humid Indiana summer day and it provided light texture. Of all of the products I tried, this one came out of the can in the finest and most controllable mist. It is a good hair product. Is it worth the hefty price tag? Maybe if you're rich, but the Garnier dry texture spray, which is about 10 times cheaper, performs just as well. I paid full price for this product. 4 stars Garnier dry texture spray - This is my favorite of all the dry texture sprays I tried. It does spray powerfully out of the can, but it holds well and provides good texture. It lasts all day and provides buildable hold. The smell is pretty good. It fades after a few minutes, which I prefer. And the price is right. I paid full price for this item. 5 stars

My new Holy Grail of Texturizing sprays for my fine thin hair
Still haven't found a texturizer that works so well with my fine hair at such an amazing price I started using this for a while and was using Not Your Mother's Texturizing spray but that has been hard to find lately and when I do find it, I refuse to pay the price these websites are trying to charge, so I remembered having used this and when I saw the price, I had nothing to lose even if it wasn't what I was looking for but when I received it, I can't imagine why I switched to another brand that d pricier! This works perfect. It really gives my fine, Thin hair great texture and volume. It allows me to style my hair in ways that would be impossible if I didn't use it because this gives the grip and flexibility I need to maneuver it into different up dos. I love that it's buildable and I can spray more on places I need to without my hair becoming becoming stiff and hard. Won't be making the mistake of switching brands again! I've been through many texturizing sprays to find one that works best with my thin, fine hair and I've finally found it! It works great in so many different ways. When I do my hair in an up do I use dry shampoo to give it some grip but it isn't the same as this type of product. For one in my life I'm able to do a top knot that looks like I have twice the amount of hair I have. I use the texturizing finishing spray near the crown of my hair if I want some lift there when pulling it back or I'll just spray my pony tail and backwards it a little and I can do a top knot that looks full of volume, just the right amount of messy and then I use Tigi Glossing Spray so that the sides, front, and back of my hair look sleek and shiny in contrast with the tousled top knit and I love it! Works the same with a low side bun or low bun at back of my neck. Best of all, I do use a Curling iron, straightener, and deep waver (never at same time lol) and after I let my style set, I LIGHTLY spray this on my hair more on the roots and it gives me lift and hold without tackiness and without the look like I just stuck my head out of the car window going 100mph like my last Volumizing texturizing spray. A little goes a long way and again any parts that I want more Shiny and sleek or if I accidentally over spayed the texturizer... The Glossing spray fixes that. My search is over and I highly reccomend this to people who are cursed with my type of fine, soft, thin, hair. And if it doesn't give you the hold you want without overspraying... Just follow up with a very light finishing hair spray.

Effective and economical
Really like this product. Reasonably priced and does what it claims. I have gone through a period of hair thinning and loss after a major surgery. This โpumps upโ my hair and gives me texture and volume. Not sticky at all and has a pleasant scent that only lasts a short time. My only issue is that the spray nozzle takes a lot of pressure to dispense and it comes out in strong blasts. I would recommend and will purchase again!

Hair Stylist with Fine Hair: This is an Everyday Product for my Head - Holy Grail Status
I'm a hair stylist with pretty thin, straight, shoulder-length hair, and I use this spray every morning on dry hair to add texture and the slightest grip. I ADORE this stuff and make sure to reorder before I run out. If you have straight hair that isn't very thick or full naturally, then I'd recommend this for your hair. It can be used in lieu of hair spray too if you find that nearly all hair sprays are too heavy for your fine hair. I do think this will work on thicker and/or curly hair; it just might not provide quite enough added texture/malleability/hold. One reason it's still worth trying on thicker curly hair: it's impossible to use too much of this stuff, which I find is priceless. Application: I spray this mostly toward the roots of my hair and then massage my fingers through those sections similar to how you'd lather your hair in the shower. This combined with a little dry shampoo sprayed through the same areas gives my hair the illusion of heat styling and the slightest movement/bend. With this technique, I can get away with letting my hair air dry and use NO heat styling tools on it at all. Highly recommend. Pros: Excellent for fine hair adds texture without weighing hair down WON'T make hair feel dirty, unlike other texturizers Smell - pleasant, non-floral, not overwhelming Potential Cons: The bottle isn't huge [but I really prefer that, personally] May not provide enough hold for very thick or curly hair

Decent product, not as good as Oribe
I wanted to try this item based on the reviews that it works as well as the more expensive brands. I have been using the Oribe Dry Texture Spray ORIBE Dry Texturizing Spray, 8.5 fl. oz. prior to this and was hopeful that the Garnier would work as well with a much lower price tag. I liked the Garnie item okay but I still prefer the Oribe significantly over the Garnie Texture Tease Dry Touch spray. For me, when I use the Oribe spray, I can feel it in my hair. It gives it the texture that you can feel and the almost "dirty" feeling, which, to me, is a good thing. The Garnier item didn't lay down as heavily and I had to use a lot more of the product each time and still didn't give me the results that I was looking for. The Oribe item can last me about 5-6 months with almost daily use because I don't have to use as much each time. This Garnier item lasted about 2 months.

Best I Have Found!
I have a Bob type hairstyle. My hair tends to be flat. I use this after I tease it a bit(not ridiculously so) and spray with this product. It makes my hair fuller without that ridiculous over teased look. I have tried other brands but none work as well as this one on my hair and most of them are even more expensive!

My hair has always been fine, and now it's thinning as well
My hair has always been fine, and now it's thinning as well. But this stuff makes a big difference; it gives my hair enough texture that I can backcomb it and it holds, plus it makes it look fuller. Spray it on generously and do it when dry. Smells kind of bad, so I step outside to do the spraying, but that's just me I think. As a Prime member, I buy a LOT of stuff from amazon. Living out in a rural area far from a city, amazon is my go-to source for many of my purchases. I must rely heavily on your product reviews to help me decide which item is best for me -- especially when I can't actually see, touch or hold the product. I take my personal product reviews seriously, and if something proves to be a piece of junk, I'll tell you - and if it's great or mediocre, I'll tell you that, too. My policy is to try to write the kind of reviews I want to read and to update my reviews if for some reason the product fails to perform as advertised during the period it's warrantied for. I do ask that if you found this review helpful in making your decision, that you please click on the "yes" button below.

A product worthy of the hype!
This product was well written on many sites, but difficult to come by locally. My wife loves the product, as she recently cut her hair shorter, making it more difficult to style without additives.

Works better than some pricey brands
One of my favourite wax sprays that I've tried, so glad to still be able to find it on Amazon!

This holds style well and smells nice but it's kind of like teasing your hair in a bottle. Makes it feel pretty gross and tangled.

Not worth it
This could be good stuff but the bottles are small and I find that I need to use a ton of it before it does anything with my hair. I would call it a very weak hairspray. Not worth the money.

Great! Not quite as strong as hoped
Great! Not quite as strong as hoped, but low shine was the reason I bought it! Much preferred to dry shampoo or regular hairspray
