Petskd Top and Side Expandable Pet Carrier 17x11x9.5 Southwest Alaska Airline Approved, Soft Small Dog Cat Carrier for 1-10 LBS Pets with Locking Safety Zipper and Anti-Scratch Mesh(Black)

Our pets just got refused from the plane and now we are in a big mess because of these carriers! First of all, these carriers are NOT 17 x 11 x 9.5 or in cm: 43 x 28 x 24. They are actually (measuring the hard shell only, completely compressed, white piping to white piping) 45.5 x 30 x 26. With just the lid extended upwards it adds another 4-6 cm and also with the end popped out, another 2 cm. The airlines WILL ding you for this, and depending on the fluffiness of your pet, will also prevent you from flying, saying your pet is too 'big' for the kennel, even if the kennel Is soft and can be compressed to go under the seat. While it is unethical for the airlines such as Air Canada #AirCanada to sell tickets for their Boeing 787 flights for animals weighing over about 2kg who are any taller than about 4" at the shoulders (ie puppies or kittens) considering the max height of the kennels for this aircraft is just over 7", this carrier should not be advertised as an 'airline approved carrier. Maybe a carrier for out and about, weekend trips, etc. But I would NEVER use it for flights, especially international ones, and ESPECIALLY from the UAE/DXB in particular. I love this carrier. The structure of it is so sound. It’s not floppy at all (which I’ve hated with other carriers) and the expansion is perfect! I can expand the carrier while on a plane under the seat (I fly southwest) and it helped a lot for my talk 7lbs Chihuahua. I also love all the ways it opens. The different zippers are perfect for different occasions such as just reaching in to calm your pet or opening it up so they can stick their head out. The pet bed/liner that comes with it is so well made and soft and comfortable. I’ve used it for my dogs and cat and I can tell how comfy they are in there. Best carrier I’ve ever had and it’s folds up for nice storage when not in use

I really liked this carrier, overall it was decent quality and I liked the pop up top to add more space. However, I ultimately returned it because it didn’t have seatbelt clips and the bottom wasn’t as strong/sturdy as my previous carrier.

Delivered in one day. Construction appears to be able to withstand normal abuse. Sized correctly for the Airlines. There are extra security clips on the zippers.

I took my dog in this for his first plane rides and it worked great. He spent most of the time in my lap but when he was in it, he seems very comfortable.

Excellent quality! I would have kept this carrier if it were a teeny bit more malleable. On one leg of my flight, the carrier needed to be squished into by a smaller space and it probably wouldn’t have fit the smaller dimensions. I didn’t want to risk it. Bummer!
