Rule iL280P 12V DC Submersible and Inline Pump

I purchased this submersible pump to replace another Rule unit that died. The older pump seemed identical except it came with a hose and nozzle (and the housing was white instead of red). When I received the new pump I noticed a few other details. The water input and output fittings are smaller that the old pump. I used a stainless steel hose clamp and was able to tighten it enough that my old hose fit. This pump provides as much pressure as the old one so it's working out fine for me. One comment though, I had to send back the first unit as the packaging had been resealed with tape and there were parts missing (notably the white plastic strainer for the water intake). Second unit was new and has been working fine.

Decent pump for shallow applications say 10 foot or less. My application was at the max of 20 foot. The issue I ran into was on a battery alone it would not pump up that high. But if I connected to a running vehicle it would, i.e. 12v battery voltage vs the 13.5-14v charging voltage. Over all it did the job I asked of it but I only used it for a short time - couple weeks. So I cannot speak to the longevity of it. However the water I was pumping had a lot of fine sand and silt in it and it did not fail. I still have it and use it occasionally for water transferring from on container to another - 5 foot or less . Keep in mind this is either on or off, there is no pressure switch.

Plastic packaging on pump was damaged and there was a missing cap of the pump.

Elle est reliée a une petite flotte pour éviter qu'elle fonctionne a vide .Le tout est activé par un relais .Cet ensemble entre a l'intérieure du drain de plancher de 4 pouces qui est relié au drain français de la maison. Évidemment il ne reste qu'a sortir le tuyau a l'extérieur...
